I messaged the company directly and this was their response, “ manufactured by JAKKS Pacific and our subsidiaries, are BPA free and are safety tested by an independent professional laboratory that is certified by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). As a result of this testing, all of our products comply with the laws and standards set forth in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008. The Daniel Tiger figures are made of PVC which meet all the CPSC Regulations requirements.”

Do these figurines stand up in the electronic trolley? Haven’t been able to find characters that stay standing when trolley moves.

They will fall over somewhat easily, but they stay inside the trolley. These are really great Daniel Tiger figures except for the fact that they fall over easily unless standing on a smooth, flat, and non-moving surface.

What type of plastic are these?

I'm not sure of the chemical structure of the plastic, but it's a harder plastic that feels dense and solid. Perhaps it's a polycarbonate or type of polyethylene. That's entirely a guess.
