Good quality, great colors
Love these highlighters! I use them in my bullet journal. They didn't bleed through or ghost on100gsm paper. I bought three sets because I loved the colors. They look so good on paper. I did smudge one area but overall they dry pretty quickly. For the price these are great and such a good selection of colors. I like that they're square, helps me hold them better. It has a chisel tip so you can do fine or wide lines. I'll be buying more sets in the future.

Changed my Bible Study Experience completely - no bleed
โ โ โ โ โ I have been very impressed with this set of Mr. Pen pastel highlighters. Rather than the extremely bright fluorescent colours of conventional highlighters, these have a much softer, more muted appearance which I find considerably nicer for notes, reading and general study. The set of eight also gives a good selection of distinct colours without becoming excessive. Build quality For relatively inexpensive stationery, these feel well made. The plastic bodies are lightweight but don't feel particularly flimsy, and the caps fit securely. I also like the compact, rectangular design: they are easy to keep together in a pencil case and, unlike completely cylindrical pens, are much less inclined to roll off the desk. The chisel tips have been another strong point. They feel sufficiently firm to maintain their shape rather than immediately becoming soft or frayed. Having both the broad face and narrower edge of the tip makes them considerably more versatile than a simple broad highlighter. Ease of use and performance These are extremely straightforward to use. The broad edge gives a good, controlled highlight across ordinary lines of text, while turning the pen slightly allows the finer edge to be used for underlining, smaller writing or more precise highlighting. The colours are probably their greatest strength. They are noticeably softer than standard neon highlighters, but still provide enough contrast for highlighted text to stand out clearly. This makes a real difference when highlighting quite heavily: a page can contain several colours without ending up looking overwhelmingly bright or making the original text difficult to read. They are particularly well suited to colour-coding notes because the eight shades are sufficiently different to assign different meanings or subjects to them. They also make handwritten notes, planners and journals look considerably neater than conventional fluorescent markers. The ink lays down smoothly and I have found the overall result clean rather than excessively wet. As with any highlighter, performance will vary according to the paper being used, and I would always test an inconspicuous area first on exceptionally thin or absorbent paper. Value for money Considering that there are eight different colours in the pack, I think the value is very good. This is one of those products where the presentation could easily make it feel more expensive than it really is. You get a useful range of colours, versatile chisel tips and a design that is both attractive and functional. For students in particular, a single pack provides enough colours for quite an elaborate system of colour coding without needing to buy several separate sets. They are equally useful for books, revision notes, planners, journals and general office work, so I think most people will get plenty of use from them. Minor drawbacks There are a couple of small points worth mentioning. Firstly, anyone who specifically wants extremely bold fluorescent highlighting may find these too subdued. The pastel effect is intentional and is actually why I like them, but it does mean that some of the paler shades are less conspicuous than a traditional yellow or orange highlighter. Secondly, the exact appearance of each colour naturally changes depending on the paper underneath it. On cream or very thin paper, for example, some shades can look slightly different from how they appear on bright white notebook paper. That isn't really a fault with the pens, but it is worth bearing in mind. Finally, although the chisel tip is excellent for ordinary highlighting, anyone wanting very fine annotation will still need a separate fine-liner or pen. Overall A very successful set of highlighters. They combine attractive pastel colours with genuinely useful chisel tips, a practical design and good everyday performance. I particularly like that they emphasise text without dominating the entire page, which makes them much more pleasant for extensive note-taking and study than very bright fluorescent alternatives. The minor limitations are really consequences of choosing a pastel highlighter rather than faults with the product itself. For the quality, variety and usefulness of the eight-colour set, I think these offer excellent value. 5/5 โ an easy recommendation if you prefer clean, understated highlighting rather than harsh neon colours.
