Yes. The inside pockets are at the bottom on either side of the abdomen. They don't look finished, but they are there. They are not died as the dye would rub onto your clothing underneath.

I have washed mine and it did not shrink. Maybe if washed with hot water and dried on high heat it might shrink a little. Mine is high quality and it was prewashed when I received it.

I'm 5'8 and have a 38" chest. Normally wear small, but should I go medium or large on this?

Maybe the jackets fit differently 6 years ago when others answered this question. I'm also 5'8 and 38-40 inch chest. I recently ordered both the small and medium to try them on. Turns out the small fit the best with a thin shirt or sweatshirt under it. With that being said, I haven't washed the jacket yet, so hopefully I don't shrink it
