GEM CPAL5 Aluminum Head Push Pins, Aluminum, Silver, 5/8-Inch, 100/Box

I use push pins to decorate for the holidays. I got tired of the plastic ones shattering. I looked for metal push pins everywhere and couldn’t find any. I’m so glad I found them on Amazon. These are nice, good quality, and strong.

I really like how long the pin sections are. I use them to hang pictures in painted drywall and they are really sturdy. The heads are smaller than the old ones I had been using, but that doesn't seem to affect their performance.

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I use these to tack up art on the wall, sometimes in wood. Plastic push pins are often not sturdy enough. These can be (gently) hammered. Also, the pin is maybe 30% longer than a regular push pin so it holds more weight. I have them holding up some small frames and medium unframed canvases. If it matters -- they look a little "classy" -- I'd use them in an art gallery.

These are much better than plastic tacks. Also, you can use a hammer to tap them in without the tip breaking. I have an antique shop and these work perfectly for hanging art. *****

As described, good quality solid aluminium pins. Unable to source these in UK, do allow extra time for delivery from USA. Wanted for copper foil glass work. The pin length for these is 5/8” and so are a bit too long if using for fixing aluminium batons with standard Morton board system (poke through board) but good if using thicker batons round the edges. Find the 1/2” version better for this. Fine for holding 3 mm glass pieces in place. Good value.
