They must have for performing and cutting spot Wells
They must have tool. When working on a modern car with stamped Wells. Tool works great.

Pleasantly surprised!
I was actually a bit shocked by these. I don't usually deal with a lot of spot welds and in the past I've just ground down the 1 or 2 needed for the task at hand. However, I decided to do the rockers on my plow truck and figured for $30 bucks i'd give it a shot. Wow...just wow. 50-60 spot welds with a single bit--I was shocked. Best 30 bucks I've spent in a while. 30-45 minutes to knock out 50+ spot welds was actually pretty impressive and certainly better than grinding them down for hours.

Why have I never tried one of these!!
Ok, I never review anything. This thing is legit, took me 30 mins and one side of one cutting bit (70 spot welds) to remove the remaining spot welded strip for the pan halve on a VW pan. Don't think twice about giving this a try, you will not be disappointed.

Enough bits to do a couple body panels. In 1 kit
Work well. Right size for spot welds . Easy to use and switch. Cutter dulls after a couple holes.

Amazingly useful if you are restoring a car
Super valuable tool if you have any need for dealing with spot welds. In my case I was installing some patches for rust repair on a 72 Chevelle and needed to release the spot welds on the lower rear quarter panel. One caveat: I was way too aggressive with the tool the first time I used it. The cutters are SHARP and will eat right through both sides of the spot welded metal. It was so easy I thought that was what it was supposed to do, but then I realized the ideal use is to cut from the side you expect to discard to the side you expect to keep, and then only let the cutter penetrate the first sheet of metal. That way you are left with “meat” on the keeper side. I bored right through my first several and ended up with the 3/8 inch holes to fill. Second: a center punch or small pilot drill bit is a must have. The cutter wanders without a pilot hole. All in all a great purchase and looks durable.

Great value
Removing spot welds from an old British car to.replace panels… this has worked great. Drill to mill out part of weld and establish center, then circular saw through top sheet it metal. A little practice locating the welds and don’t get to aggressive with the saw. Easy. Ya, I went through about 1 of 15 welds.

Exactly what I needed.
These work great. Slow and steady, I drilled probably ten welds before one tooth broke and I had to flip the cutting bit. Initially drilled small pilot holes to guide the bit, but a couple taps of a center punch was enough. Once it bites and makes a small ring, it will stay steady. I went a little deep on one spot, but most of them came out flush. Drill a bit, try to pry, rinse and repeat until the top panel pops off, then just grind the nubs.

Worker perfectly just what I needed.

Stayed sharp for a long while (with cutting fluid). Bits cut very fast. I’m still on the first side of the first cutting bit after doing an entire radiator support.

I removed a couple hundred spot welds on the bed of my pickup truck. I used only one bit from the set. It’s best if you pilot the centre with a regular drill bit and of course you need lots of elbow grease to cut but they work everytime. I used oil for most of them which may have helped keep the teeth sharp..
