Permanent keep.
You don't know EXACTLY how important this pc of eq is till you need it. Don't try any makeshift nonsense... you need your cups removed, without damage to your frame OR the cups?.... buy this tool.

Nice option for the home mechanic.
Perhaps not as nice of a finish as the Park Tool equivalent, but it doesn't have a Park Tool price tag either. It's a nice alternative for DIY bike mechanics that might not be using it day in and day out. My only gripe about it is that the cap that screws onto the pipe section (i.e. the flat bit that you strike with the hammer) does have a tendency to unscrew itself rather easily.

Quality Headset Removal Tool
I have used this tool multiple times to remove headset cups and have not had any problems. I definitely recommend investing in this tool if you think you need to remove multiple headsets. The arms on the tool squeeze together well enough to fit multiple headset sizes, and the end cap allows the blows from your mallet to transfer nicely into removing the headset cups.

Cheap and cheerful
You could probably just make one. Considering the orders, it's easier to buy this one. This isn't designed for the bike shop mechanic. Perfect for the average Joe working on personal bikes.

Does what it's supposed to.
Does the job very well and costs much less than Park or Pedro's.

Works but it's not that great
This easily removes your press fit headset cups but beats the crap out of them in the process. Maybe I'm using it wrong but it put deep nicks in my cups.
