Help with Small Dog Sizing
I am writing this review in hopes it will help someone who is trying to decide which size to purchase for their small dog(s). I spent WAAAAYYYY too much of my time trying to get the perfect size/configuration for my own three small dogs, so perhaps this review will save someone else from the same fate.First, let me say I love these bowls. The base is made of a nice and sturdy plastic, they have some weight to them, and their non-skid grips prevent them from sliding around on our hardwood floors. They stay in place while our dogs are eating. The food bowl itself is made of a nice stainless steel but do note it is not heavy weight. Perfect for our needs though. My goal was to purchase a bowl that prevents neck issues. While I liked the idea of a simple raised bowl, I discovered my dogs still had to bend their necks in the same fashion as they did while eating from a ground-level bowl. I like the idea of the 15 degree angle bowls, so I decided to go ahead with this particular brand. With regard to sizing, I first ordered the smalls for our two Chihuahuas and the medium for our Japanese Chin. While these sizes generally worked for them, I didn't feel the bowls offered enough of a change from their original bowls. So, I decided to watch our two Chihuahuas take turns at eating out of our Japanese Chin's medium-sized bowl and felt it was a much better fit; it was slightly higher and just gave them better body mechanics while eating. What I realized for the Chin is that, while technically the medium would work for him, I felt he could benefit from a slightly larger bowl for proper body mechanics, and more importantly, for his large head. Japanese Chins have a flat face and an overly large head. Although it would seem the large is too big for a seven pound dog, it is perfect for him! He has tons of room to fit his face in the bowl (no snout) and still has space on the sides for extra oxygen so that he can slurp and snort while he chows down his food.As a point of reference, I will give the measurements for our dogs:Chihuahua #1 is 5.5 pounds, slender and dainty, 8 inches from floor to top of shoulders. Size Medium is perfect for her.Chihuahua #2 is 6 pounds, squatty and bulky, 8.5 inches from floor to top of shoulder. Size Medium is perfect for her.Japanese Chin is 7 pounds, sleek and slender, 9.5 inches from floor to top of shoulder and has a round, wide, flat-faced head. Size Large is perfect for him.The first couple of times they ate from their bowls they weren't too sure, but they all quickly adapted and seem to love their new set-up. Hope this review helps!

Good for many creatures
I LOVE this bowl!We have a Shih Tzu who is very picky. He hated the usual flat style dog bowl. It was very hard to try and find him a bowl he liked to eat from until this one was found. He readily eats from it. It is easy to remove the stainless bowl and clean it or fill it. I have now ordered many of these same bowls for myself and other Shih Tzu owners I know. The picture shows that he isn't the only one who likes this bowl. Our monitor lizard Cutie Pie finds it very convenient and likes the fact that food is always directed into one easy to reach spot.

Easy fix for fickle eaters
My French bulldog uses these bowls in a small size. She has trouble eating without getting a lot of air in her belly, these helped with that since they're elevated AND tilted.

Perfect for my Frenchie
Ordered the large bowls for my 40lb French bulldog. Could have maybe gone with XL bowl for water but large was perfect for his food. I use a mixture of wet/dry food and the round bowl makes it easier for him to eat every last bite. Keeps his face cleaner and seems to make it easier for him to reach in! Love these! Ordered a few replacement bowls to switch out after meals. Seem to be holding up well in dishwasher!

What to Know
After reading way more information on XL elevated dog food bowls than I ever wanted to, I decided on this XL bowl for my lg dog due to the ergonomic design. Once received, it didn’t look like a standard bowl. It slants forward & so does the actual metal bowl. The unique roundish bowl has a rubber or silicone seal underneath the rim which does a good job of holding the bowl in place while your dog dines. The seal works well, it doesn’t move nor make any unnecessary noise which other reviewers commented on. The flip side of the good seal is that it’s slightly difficult to remove the bowl from the stand for cleaning. I actually remove the bowl from the with a little finger push, not a big issue. The stand itself has rubber on the bottom which keeps it firmly planted & doesn’t move around the floor, that was an issue for me with some of the other feeders. The reason I gave this 4 stars is that for an XL feeder, it seems rather short, on the verge of being too short & while the bowl accommodates my dog’s food portions, it’s not as large as I would have anticipated for an XL sized bowl. In conclusion & my own opinion, this bowl may possibly be too short for any dog larger than a standard sized lab breed.

French bulldog compatible!
We chose this bowl for our Frenchie who, due to an early injury, has one back leg that is slightly shorter than the other. Eating out of a normal floor-level bowl caused one or both of her back legs to lift off the ground as she bent forward, placing extra strain on her front legs and shoulders. With the tilted and elevated bowl this no longer happens, and she has an easier time eating with her flat face as the food is already pointed in her direction. Very easy to clean, the stainless steel bowl lifts right out and the base is incredibly heavy duty plastic which reminds me of my favorite melamine kitchen utensils. Indestructible. She also stays in one place now while eating instead of scooting bowls across the floor. A little pricey, but worth it.

Great for my cat who won't finish his food if it get's spread out while he's eating! One issue was that it clanked a bit when he was eating. I just put some tape inside the bowl part of the base and that took care of that!

I love these bowls
I've purchased 3 of these and all 3 dogs took well to it. It helps them get every last bite of their food with ease. I ordered large for all dogs: 15lb dog, 25lb dog and 65lb dog. I wouldn't really recommend for a large /tall dog because I feel they need a higher elevation but my big girl just refuses to eat from a stand , she prefers this bowl. I also have 4 similar bowls in a smaller size for the cat and our weekend playdate dogs. all beast that enter our home prefer these bowls over the traditional round bowl. one picture shows diff. sizes of dogs the other has the bowl in the background

Great for French Bulldogs
Been looking for a bowl for French Bulldogs for a while. Fed up of having to dig food away from the edges of his normal bowl. I've been pleasantly surprised, he now eats it all without help. It is sturdy and washes easily. Price was a little expensive, but like anything if you want it you have to pay the price.

Great bowls!
I have two cats, a year old and a six month old so I got two, M & L sizes which were perfect for them. It's made of good and durable materials and it's very easy to clean. They don't spill anything out of them and it's great to keep in line with portions.Cats often struggle with eating everything on flat bowls and the fact that this one is on an angle and it's raised makes it so much easier for them to feed.

Love these bowls for my cats
I spent way too long researching bowls for my cats (who've been eating out of an oven dish in the meantime), and got slightly obsessed, so I'm really really pleased with these bowls - especially as they are on the expensive side and I had high expectations.I have one short-legged 4kg cat who sits to eat and vomits a lot, and one 7kg dog-sized cat who eats standing up and doesn't chew. I got two large bowls - they're an ideal size as my cats graze dry food throughout the day and each bowl easily fits more than one day's food. (I think medium size would be ideal for cats who eat one meal at a time). The width is ideal for avoiding whisker fatigue, and the tilted angle is great - not too high off the ground for the little cat but I'm hoping the elevation will help with her regurg issues, and the shape has immediately stopped the issue of them chasing food around a dish or over the sides - they just face-plant into the bowls with open mouths and seem really happy about it.The quality is good - not heavy but feel sturdy, fit together nicely, sit on the floor without wobbling, and they genuinely look great (I got white, they're off-white/slightly cream coloured). I also bought spare metal inserts to swap in and out so they can be dishwashered regularly and I like that the bowls are metal - all the plastic bowls I've had have got quickly scratched with teeth marks, which I'm aware can harbour germs and cause cat acne.I wasn't sure if they'd be deep enough for water because of the tilt, but they're fine for day-to-day, so will be buying a couple more.Never knew cat bowls could be so exciting.

At last a bowl my car can eat out of !
Purchased the medium sized bowl and two spare bowls to swap and wash yesterday and it arrived today. This has enabled our cat to eat easier as the bowl is on an angle and it's raised. The cat can get to all areas of the bowl , ours used to struggle with the edges of a bowl flat on the floor, I had to keep scraping the food back to the centre for him to eat. Expensive yes however I got this with an offer on it and it's worth it for our cats comfort. Recommended item.Update 19/2/19 - Our cat still very happy with this bowl. Have also purchased the smallest size bowl for his lunchtime biscuit snacks so he's a very happy boy now !! Would not go back to flat on the floor bowls. They also dishwasher well too.

Overall good but design could be better
Really nice dog bowls. Probably a bit too big for my crossbreed Scottie / Westie dog but I can live with that. Bowls are easy to clean too. My only problem with these bowls is getting them out of the containers they sit in. The overall design really annoys me when I'm trying to get a grip of the stainless steel bowl to remove them from the container they sit in inorder to get them out to clean, fill water or fill / empty food. It's hard to get a grip of them. I'll stick with using these bowls for the time being but they could have been better designed to allow us humans to easily pick the bowl from the fancy decorative / coloured container. The bowls don't move about the floor when my dog eats which is great. All in all a good purchase which I hope they will last a good amount of time. I'd recommend them but the awkwardness of trying to pick up the bowls from the containers is annoying and can be frustrating at times depending on your mood.
