Soft cotton cloth, with border to look good. Although size of the cloth is 20 x 30 inches - but they stitched the border - actual pillow of 17 x 27 may tightly fit into it. So , the cover is not comfort loose - as appearing in the images, hence 4 star rating. After receiving it - we didn't feel like returning back, hence just kept it.
