Height Adjustable Bed Risers Set of 6 - Black

I ordered these because I needed bed risers that were heavy duty enough for my large metal bed frame. I also needed these because my dog is terrified of thunderstorms and hides under the bed constantly. It was an issue before we got these bed risers because there was very little room for her under there, and she had a really hard time getting out from under the bed. After reading reviews, I was a little apprehensive because some people mentioned needing to remove the wheels from the bed frame in order for it to be less wobbly. I wanted to try these anyway, though, because so many reviewers mentioned how durable they were.This is just my experience, but we have been using the bed risers for a few weeks now and I don't have any complaints! We didn't even need to take the wheels off - the bed post sits in a square-shaped removable attachment at the top, and the wheels are actually wide enough that they don't wobble back and forth like others have mentioned. I could definitely see how people would need to remove the wheels, though, if they have smaller wheels or if there's a lot of space around the bed post when it's positioned on top of the bed riser. They're not exactly the most attractive things to look at, but a long bed skirt can cover them up if you feel they're too unsightly. I have a dark carpet in my bedroom, so they blend in pretty well.Overall, though, these are the BEST bed risers I could find for a VERY heavy bed frame that would crack under the cheaply-made dorm room bed risers sold in stores. As for my dog, she can come and go from underneath the bed as she pleases now that these bed risers have added 6 inches of height!

**Update: After 18 months of use, the bed risers are still going strong! We've had no issues and I don't even notice the bed wobbling when I get in anymore. I'd recommend these to anyone!**Risers are much larger and sturdier than they seem in the pictures. But even so, the opening at the top of each riser is quite a bit bigger than the casters on our bed frame. There is about an inch or so of "give" on each riser, so the bed wobbles back and forth. So far it hasn't fallen, but it makes me nervous. We tried taking the casters off, but still had the same problem.Also, watch out for your knuckles when you're adjusting the risers. Maybe wear gloves or use a piece of cloth to help you punch out the inner pieces - I lost a good bit of skin during setup.

Most bed risers are sold in packs of four, yet most bed frames have six legs. This is one of the few sets of bed risers that are sold in a six-pack. Besides the convenience of getting the correct number of supports, these risers are an excellent product. I'm using them at the full 5-inch height to support a king bed with a 14-in deep Novatel foam/gel mattress on it. The mattress alone weighs about 110 lb, plus two generously-sized people, box springs, and the frame. There is nary a wobble from the risers, even during dynamic stress tests. The risers lift the bed high enough to provide easy under-bed storage, plus one more place for the cat to hide. We're happy, the cat is happy; it is an excellent situation from all perspectives.

I examined quite a few competing products before selecting these. The main reason was they were reported as more solid than other choices. Meaning, they didn't crack or break or "give way." So far, so good.We have a California King "Comfort number" bed. And together, my husband and I weight about 400 pounds. So, it was with some trepidation that first I crawled on the bed and waited.....and then my husband crawled on and waited..... Would it hold? Yes, it's held! We don't even think about it anymore.One caveat: We find we're more vulnerable to toe-stubbing because these stick out a bit more. It might be worthwhile to wrap some foam around these if that's the case for you.

We have an uneven floor and these were a great solution. The only caution I would share is that they don't support a lot of weight directly on top of them. My dad sat down above one at the end of the bed, so the bulk of his weight was on one unit...and it cracked. Wish they were a little sturdier, but still a good solution for our level problem.

We have had our first set of bed risers for about a year now. We recently ordered a second set for the guest bedroom. Though the product is plastic, it is extremely durable. After testing the bed, it seemed to hold beautifully. Granted, our bed risers are on a carpet. I am unsure if it makes a difference with them being on wood or tile floors. Where I was a bit skeptical at first, I am now sold on the product. We have these in our master and guest bedrooms. It helps out with storage space as we are now able to store our suitcases under the bed. Quick shipping, great price and durable product!!

This product is great and awful. Love the adjustable heights, hated putting them together.The plastic edges are sharp, the adjustable pieces are tightly packed inside the cups, and pulling them out wasn't easy. I currently have 5 bandages on my hands from the various cuts and chunks of skin taken off while assembling it all. I'm not thrilled about this, because as anyone who's gotten a paper cut knows, it hurts like h*ll.I recommend it, but wear gloves if you have them (I don't - didn't think it would be necessary).

When I needed to raise a bed so the bed skirt would hang properly I mostly found sets of four lifters. This king sized bed needed six. I was happy to find these in the right amount, with a choice of heights, and while not as attractive as those nice wood lifters, no one sees them and they do the job well.
