Shock Doctor Ice Recovery Shoulder Elbow Compression Wrap

My son is 14 years old and pitches a couple of times a week. His coach who was a left handed pitcher for the Detroit Tigers organization recommended that my son ice his arm after every outing on the mound. I found a similar product at a local sporting goods store however it was expensive and I did not like how it looked like an old ice pack with a neoprene strap. I found this on Amazon and purchased it immediately. This thing is awesome! It uses several gel ice packs which provides cooling recovery of the entire shoulder and elbow area. Before every game, I take the gel packs out of the freezer, placed them in the individual pockets and I put the entire contraption in a small ice cooler. My son can put this on himself however I help him tighten the velcro straps for a better fit. He leaves this on between tournament games and for the entire ride home after a game. My son absolutely loves this product and says he's able to recover more quickly to take the bump when called upon.

My daughter is a softball pitcher. She is 15, about 5’5” and 130 lbs. It fits perfect with a little room to grow, it should last through her career.It’s easy to put on and holds the cold for hours. We just put it in a cooler after we take it out of the freezer.We ice for 20 minutes after she throws a game.We will see in the heat of summer and multiple games how well it stays cold all day. But, our plan is to put it back in a cooler of ice after she takes it off.On a side note, we put it in a plastic bag to keep it directly off of the ice.

Worked great for icing my shoulder injury. If you have an injured shoulder which I'm pretty sure you do if you are considering buying this; you'll probably need help cinching it down the Velcro pull tabs. I'm 6' 200+lbs. and it fit me. My teenage daughter who is considerably smaller than me uses it and it fits her as well. The pockets put the ice in the perfect position to cover your shoulder joint. There's even an attachment for your arm which I sometimes use for my sore ankle. It's made of quality material and the straps are sturdy. If you have a shoulder injury or have shoulder surgery that they recommend icing then definitely buy this.

The small/medium is too small. The large/XL is too big. There should be 4 individual sizes. I would assume that an actual large would fit me better. Also, the under the axillary strap (strap that goes behind shoulder and under the opposite armpit to the chest) is designed for using the device on the right arm.I needed this device for my left shoulder and arm. I inflamed my shoulder and neck on the left side from reaching behind to grab the velcro strap.The ice packs are cold for a decent amount of time, but are very thick. This causes a little more discomfort.I'm tempted to buy the L/XL again because I need the shoulder compression and icing.

Mixed bag - 2 pluses, 2 minus.Plus 1: high quality made, the fabrics are excellent and the ice packs are quality.Plus 2: great coverage, especially the elbow.Minus 1: NOT MADE FOR ANYONE WITH BOOBS. Shoulder strap absolutely does not work with boobs, made for flat chest.Minus 2: this is pretty hard to strap on by yourself especially the shoulder strap velcrow, impossible to adjust while on.I would buy another option if your female. I was in desperate need so keeping it.

This product fits well and has good elbow and shoulder coverage. I get most of my pain in my forearm and under my bicep, and with a slight adjustment to the elbow piece it covers both areas nicely. Product seems well made with quality materials. Despite some recent debate about whether icing promotes or inhibits healing, the fact is that when your arm is throbbing you don't care. This is a good pain relieving tool and drastically reduces my dependence on NSAID'S. Worth the $$, a must-have for us old guys

Recovering from a shoulder injury and this has helped significantly. I leave all the ice packs in and put the whole thing in the freezer.

Definitely does the job. She can even wear it during practice so that if she needs to ice after pitching she doesnt have to be on the bench watching. She can run with or play first(with a light toss back to coaches). Only issue is keeping the gel packs frozen if travelling with it. They stay cold but not frozen in the cooler

For the price i paid, it's kind of confortable and efficient to remove pain the pain in my arm after badminton and tennis.
