This is my second cylinder that I am using. Each time it went fot 6-7 weeks in my 15gal tank, heavy planted and i keep the CO2 at 2 bubble per sec. Fluvel 45g canister at the same speed would go empty in 2-3 weeks…

These work well. I've added Teflon tape as a precaution and it seems to help the cartridge last longer. Maybe it was leaking slightly at the threads, not sure. These are only good for a small aquarium like 10 gallons or so with plants. Anything larger needs the larger kit. At around 55 gallons, heavily planted you need a 1 liter system. Of you have questions on size requirements, contact the manufacturer through their website. I received a reply with lots of helpful information with in 12 hours, so they are available to help. I wasn't able to get much help or information through the answers here on amazon. But ISTA GULFSTREAM was extremely helpful online.

A little disappointed because even though I ensured to screw on the canister quickly and evenly the canister itself seemed to be only partially full. That being said, the partially filled canister did exceed the average lifespan of the fluval canisters I have used in the past. By a day or two on average. I anticipated this being an issue and I switched over to the canisters that have you add ingredients to make your own CO2.

I bought this back in January and began using it immediately. I have a 10 gallon planted aquarium, and it doesn’t need an insane amount of CO2. That being said, I have this thing on for at LEAST 6 hours almost every day releasing a small trickle of CO2 into my tank. It’s been over 3 months of using this and I’m only just now now about to reorder. If you have a nano planted tank with a fluval CO2 system, this is definitely for you.My plants are happy, I’m happy, and my shrimp are happy.

love these lil co2 carterages!I have a planted 30gal aquarium & these lil guys are great, I turn the co2 on for about 4-5 hrs a days every other day (plenty) & my tank looks great, I used to buy the bigger Fluval 88g-CO2 Disposable Cartridges - 3-Pack & those are way too expensive and i went through one carterage every 2 weeks??? but these lil guys last me a hole month (idky) but saves me money!!! :-)P.s. wish you could do bulk & make it a little more economical, so I could order less times & also make less trips to the recyclers?!!!

The only problems I have is that the regulator is very hard to adjust, especially when the cartridge is full. Also, they just don't last very long-that is at a rate of one bubble per second. I have a lot of plants in a small tank. It is a good alternative until I can afford a real regulator and bigger co2 tank.

The media could not be loaded. It didn’t work the same as the last I bought. Another is on the way I will see if it happens again.
