I bought the wubbanub because my son (4 months) dropped his regular pacifiers so regularly and I was getting sick of searching for, and cleaning them every time they hit the floor. He loves the monkey and manages to hold onto it most of the time (as a comfort, as well as a toy, as well as a pacifier). He is teething now, so loves to chew on the monkeys arms, legs and tail, so the only negative point about the wubbanub is that you can`t remove the pacifier to wash the toy.Overall, we are happy!
