Yes, internal circuitry protects the lithium/ion battery, much as your cell phone, lap top, ect.

Does this work with the bose soundlink revolve+ portable speaker?

I have both the home speaker and revolve+. It does not work for the revolve+

Is this weatherproof/resistant?

I know the speaker is but I don’t think the cradle is.

Auto shutdown after fully charged

I don’t understand the question the purpose of changer is when you using the speaker it keep changing it and it won’t die. Very good to have.
