Q: Does anyone use this lamp for increasing serum Vitamin D levels?

The Fiji Sun Tanning Lamp has specifically been tested and FDA approved for the use of tanning the skin. There have not been any studies on vitamin D production with this lamp. However, we have heard from many customers that this lamp has helped raise their vitamin D levels.

Q: Are the bulbs used in this sperti fiji lamp different than those used in the sperti model d uv-f? if so, how?

Before I bought my Sperti tanning lamp, I phoned Sperti and asked the same question. The lady I spoke to said the bulbs were the same. I bought it for vitamin D mostly. I have not used it enough to be able to say if it works, but I'm trying to use it more. It does give a nasty sunburn though if you're not careful. I do no more than 5 minutes a side in any one spot.

Q: What's the difference between this and the d/uv-f kbd model?

The Fiji Sun Tanning Lamp emits primarily UVA rays in order to tan the skin while the D/UV-F lamp emits primarily UVB rays which help give your body vitamin D without causing a tan.
