Bean Bush Contender 1988 (Green) 100 Non-GMO, Heirloom Seeds

I ordered these seeds in 2020. I planted about half of them and they ALL germinated. Just stuck them in the ground in native soil (very sandy) and watered every day. The germinated in 2-3 days!I planted another 24 this year, same result. Just planted a 2nd row for this year.The plants grow super fast. They are strong and healthy. The beans taste great, too.All other bean seeds I tried had germination rates between 0 and 50%, and those that did germinate mostly turned into crappy little stems with no leaves. Dave's Garden Seeda are the GOAT. I ordered a bunch of other seeds after my success with the beans, and they have all been this great: super fast germination, 100% germination rate, strong and healthy plants. I couldn't be happier.

I bought these beans for a Jack and the Beanstalk Children’s program at my library. We all planted our magic bean and talked about the science of what would happen next. Within 3-4 days the bean sprouted and grew every day. Our sample is still in the small cup and has beans! Kids have reported back their successful growth from their plantings and tasting their beans. The plants grew quickly, produced and provided a successful and tasty learning experience.

The seeds came very fast. I like that they were packed well. Haven't planted yet, but am sure they will grow just fine. I am experimenting growing veggies I think will blossom in Arizona.

Grew quickly. Good production. Not quite as tasty as Kentucky Wonder. Very good germination. Ordered late, but received in time to still have a good crop of green beans.

Seeds arrived in a sturdy, well-labeled envelope that was itself packed in a heavy ziplok bag. Because of age and fragile health, I am unable to till the soil, but I planted the green beans in pot and "grow bags". I expected that a certain percentage of seeds would fail, but every single seed sprouted and is growing strong! I am eager to see how they will produce.

I planted these seeds, and several other types, last weekend and they're already growing like crazy.

I am planting these for the 3rd or 4th time. Germination is poor. I thought I would have enough seeds for next year too, but have already used all the seeds. I planted them in raised beds, which stay warmer, and even soaked the seeds over night, and they still don’t come up. I have had a garden every year for over 40 years, so I am not a new gardener! These are probably the worse seeds I have ever had. They seem to have good reviews, so maybe I got a bad batch, and they weren’t that cheap! So far, I have about 20 plants up out of 100! Very disappointed!
