OneCure Will End the Nightmare!
My first grader recently acquired a case of head lice. This was my very first exposure to this nightmare and it was worse than I could have imagined. By the time we realized that she had it, it was too late for both myself and her (mortified!!) teenaged sister. Ugh. I tried not to panic. We treated with an over the counter product that promised results. I combed for nits every night for a week. It looked like it might have worked, but there were more nits every day. I wanted to shave our heads. We tried home remedies, we tried other products. I was willing to pay hundreds for professional removal, but there are no options anywhere near where I live. I researched Lice Clinics of America and considered travelling literally hundreds of miles to the nearest one. And then . . . I stumbled onto this “at home” version of the treatment and purchased right away. The cost seemed more than reasonable to me if it actually worked. . . I had already spent at least this much in the week prior trying to use conventional methods and honestly would pay ten times this amount because.... It worked for us!!The product packaging itself was surprisingly pleasing, nice to look at and the box even had a silky smooth feel. The device itself was maybe a little heavier than my regular hair dryer, but the two handles make it easy to use for the amount of time necessary because you can easily switch hands or the position of the hands. The handle on top should be required on all hair dryers! Also, the green parts of the handle are a silky soft, super smooth covering or coating of some sort that actually feels really pleasant to touch and hold. The tips are bigger than I imagined, but not as intimidating to attach and remove as they initially seemed. If I could figure it out, anyone can. The actual treatment was also easier than I imagined. Throw a movie on or give them an iPad and they’ll sit still for the entire treatment. Plus, the 35 or so minutes of using the actual device is nothing compared to night after night of wet combing for nit extraction! Follow the included instructions for the correct “ pattern” for the placement and movement of the device across and up and down the head. The machine will do the rest, indicating by light when it’s time to move on.The included gel and applicator/comb was another step that proved simple to complete. The reusable applicator/comb combo was novel to me and I loved the design. I felt like compared to other products, this delivery method gave me more peace of mind that I was actually getting the product delivered to the necessary areas of the scalp and hair. Again, this step doesn’t take long and my daughter was fine with it. There were no harsh chemical smells that made her gag either, which always helps improve ease of application!I followed all the included instructions and it’s been a couple of days and I haven’t seen any new nits or live bugs on either of our heads, so I’m definitely optimistic. We’ll keep checking every couple of days, and I will update this review if something new develops, but as of right now, I would 100% recommend that EVERYONE just buy this product to have in your home just in case you’re one of the unlucky ones who get to experience this horrible nightmare first hand. I had to wait SIX DAYS (for two day shipping ....) and I just can’t help but think how much stress I could have avoided if I had already had this waiting for me in the bathroom closet on the day she was diagnosed... I will be ordering replacement tips right away, as well. Just in case.I’m extremely happy with this purchase and really the only thing that could be better than this device/kit is if Lice Clinics of America would open a franchise somewhere in my state so I could leave the work up to them. :-)

Not as Effective as Promised!
Like every parents worst nightmare, my daughter caught lice the first week she started elementary. She had just grown out her beautiful, thick hair and we started to panic, thinking we would have to cut most of her hair off to control the lice outbreak. It was bad.I tried many over the counter treatments but nothing was killing all the lice or getting rid of the nits. I stumbled upon the OneCure Lice treatment and after reading reviews , became hopeful. I ordered right away and with the speedy shipping was able to start treatment as soon as it came.I followed the directions thoroughly but it took me closer to the 2 hours to even being remotely finished, rather than the 1 hour advertised. The tip ran out before I had finished all my daughters hair, making it very frustrating. The parts to the machine felt flimsy. And upon researching, expensive to replace. You cannot buy the parts off Amazon, only through the main company. It is really pricey for a one time use and it didn’t get rid of all the nits. This device is not good for thick hair and my daughter still has lice. At this point I’m better off going to a professional lice removal facility. Beware, device not as easy to use and really expensive to replace!!!

You're Not Alone!
The 1st day I saw lice on my kids (and me) I bought this device. Expensive, but after extensive research I thought it was a better choice than Rid or Nix. I had already gone through a bottle of Rid and went to the doctor (they wouldn't even Check my son). I felt helpless, hopeless, and so emotionally distressed that this lice situation was all I could think/talk about. I used the device on a Friday. I followed all the instructions, combed, combed, and combed, we still had it. I shaved my sons' heads, and combed my hair with the product that came with this machine for 3 hrs straight everyday. Everyday there were new eggs. I vacuumed twice a day, covered the couch with sheets and washed and changed those twice a day, changed all our clothes twice a day, and not to mention the 3hrs spent crying over the sink as I kept combing bugs out of my hair. By Monday I was contemplating shaving my own head bc that was the only thing that got rid of it for my sons. Lice Clinics of America reached out to me to offer help or advice after purchasing. I really appreciated that there was someone I could talk to or ask questions if I needed. Not just an 800 number. An actual person who was following along with me every step of the way. I asked if they had a professional that could check us just to confirm whether or not we still had it. I was combing so much stuff out that I was starting to doubt myself and what I was seeing. Maybe I didn't even know what I was looking at? I was a mess. Lice Clinics of America scheduled an appointment for me and my kids that same day. A professional confirmed that my kids were cleared (I think thats bc I shaved them down to a number 1), but I was still infested. In exchange for this costly device I bought, they gave me one full treatment at their clinic. This at-home thing didn't get rid of my lice, however, I gave 3 stars bc my money wasn't wasted. Their clinic treatment is just as expensive. If you can afford $200, just go to the clinic. Their machine there isnt timed like this at-home one, and it covers more area of the head. She combed me out after and this whole appointment was less than 2 hrs! Worth it to have my sanity back. It's been 2 days since my treatment at the clinic. I'm still a little itchy, but she said that I would be bc it's an irritation to all the bites I had (barf, I know). I haven't seen any new eggs though. I will comb my hair again this week just to make sure there aren't any new ones . If there is, I'll amend this review. If there isn't, then I'm just being paranoid.
