The content is great and the rationals are some of the best I've seen. Yes, most of the online content is the same as the book but it's nice to have it online as well because it gets you used to this method of testing. (On exams I am typically underlining and circling key words in the questions and you can't do that when the test is on a computer!) My only complaint is that some of the images with the online questions are not matched with the same question. The question will tell you to reference the image but it's obvious the image doesn't match the question. After a handful of questions another question with an image will pop up and you realize that image went with the previous question. It's not the case for all of them, but some and it can be annoying. Other than that, It's a great resource to get used to answering alternate format questions.

Really good book when it came to practice questions when preparing for my NCLEX examination. I used this book as an additional resource aside from Kaplan and the LaCharity book on Prioritization. I didn't feel confident with select at that apply (SATA) questions and wanted to strengthen my skills. This book was great because it focused on the most important sections and material. One drawback the book has is that it has the answers right beside the questions on each page but I simply used an old folder to cover up the answer and the following page so that I could answer all questions on both pages then check my answers. The online resources are also great because they simulate the NCLEX well but I didn't use them too much instead I preferred writing in the book. I really improved in my SATA questions and ended up passing NCLEX with 75 questions.

I think this was a great little supplement to my studying. The questions were good as well as the rational. The biggest problem was that the answers and rational are on the same page. Meaning that the pages are split vertically in half, the left half has the question and the right half of each page has the answer and rational. At least it makes it really easy to find the answer ;) To get around this, simply have a piece of paper to cover the other half of the page. Inconvenient, but honestly i didn't find it to be too much of a big deal (Note: I did decide NOT to buy the kindle version for this reason, I feel this would be more annoying). Alt format questions are becoming very very common with the new test format. Of my 75 questions, more than 40% were Alt format. Good Luck!

My former senior synth professor recommended this book to me while I was gearing up for my third attempt to take the NCLEX. This book was a SUPER helpful supplement to my online NCLEX prep course, especially when it came to SATA questions, which were always a weakness of mine. The rationale is really clear and concise, and the test-taking strategies were very helpful because sometimes I found myself jumping the gun on answers sometimes. I'm so glad I got this book because on my third attempt, I'd say almost half of my exam was alternate-format. Third time was a charm and I passed!

Good practice for alternate format questions especially SATA and drag&drop since those are the higher level q's. Did only about 100q's from this book bc I bought 4 other books I was using- this one is good for practice however there are a lot of errors I found going through questions online which got confusing. Passed in 75q used lipincott q&a a lot which also incorporates alt format q's

I really believe this book made such a difference in my studying and I passed my first try. I had about 40% of SATA on the NCLEX and this book really helped with my confidence in finding my rhythm with HOW to answer SATA and alternative questions. It wasn't about the material as much as learning how to watch for key words, phrases, etc. that I was able to do after going through this book entirely.

This book was great for practicing the alternate format questions. I had a few of these on the NCLEX and this book definitely prepared me for them. The only thing I didn't like is the answers are on the same page as the questions and it doesn't come with a disk of questions. I did a lot of questions from this book and I passed my NCLEX so it was very helpful for me.

I knew I could not just go through multiple choice and select all that apply questions because the NCLEX can give you many different forms of a question. For example" put these in order" and "pick the correct picture". This book has all the different forms of questions and was perfect for practicing. Not sure i would have passed if I just looked at multiple choice questions. Again, much needed practice!!!

Book in good condition. A note to NCLEX writers, these questions are hard at first but with practice they get easier!
