1000% recommend!!
Long review incoming TL:DR, absolutely worth it!!The other day I was a gummy in, scrolling youtube shorts (as one does), and I came across a video of a pet groomer bathing a really fiesty cat. But when it came time to brush it, the cat was so calm! The groomer made a somewhat unbelievable claim that every pet liked the equigroomer. It's possible that they were sponsored or partnered, but I decided on impulse to order one.For reference, I have a shorthair dilute tortoiseshell. She definitely has the tortitude and absolutely HATES being brushed. But it's shedding season and I'm allergic, so every time she comes up to me for love and attention, im getting absolutely showered in fur, completely murdering my sinuses.Well it just arrived today and she actually tolerates it?!? She let me brush the length of her body, the base of her tail, her neck, and then I let her sniff the equigroomer for a bit and she rubbed her face on it!! Definitely a win in my book. The shape of the wood handle is quite comfortable to hold too (as someone with fibromyalgia with hand issues similar to arthritis). I will say that it is very different than any other brush I've used. I've tried those viral cat brushes where you can push the button and the fur pops off, I've tried furminator, and also those silicone brushes. But this one is different in that the teeth are so short. The fur doesn't actually stay in the teeth as they aren't bristles, so it's a little different to use. I also found that making short strokes while pressing in firmly works the best for this, and I tested the groomer on my own skin first and it actually is a super pleasant scratching sensation (I'm not about to use a product on her without testing it on myselffirts to ensure it won't hurt).Overall, I really love this purchase and I definitely would recommend it! Also I was not paid for this review, I did not recieve the product for free, and I'm not getting anything from leaving a good review. I paid for it myself and am actually loving it and recommending it!!(Also the fur in the picture is not my cat it's a sheepskin)

Works with fine hair. Great for sensitive animals.
I don’t right reviews - ever. Although I was compelled to leave one for the Equigroomer because I have spend what feels like hundreds of dollars in brushes and de-groomers from so many different Merchants who “promised” one thing but never worked for my situation. One of my cats not only has extremely fine fur but he HATES being brushed. He immediately tries to run away and when you do encounter the rare times where he does allow it… ends up swatting at me soon enough. I have tried so many products that either didn’t work due to how fine his hair is or caused issues with his sensitive back/skin.THIS WORKS! Not only does it work but he loves it! This brush actually collects the fine hairs easily, doesn’t cause discomfort, and to him even thinks it’s a toy trying to gnaw and rub his face all over it.I can’t tell you how thankful I am to have something that actually works. If you are struggling with cats/dogs with fine hair then this is the solution for you. My only recommendation is to brush them outside or on the patio/balcony (cat) if possible. The hair doesn’t collect on the brush itself but instead leaves it where you end your brush strokes so I learned right away to move it to the balcony before the entire house was covered in hair (it worked that well)Several other brushes lasted 2 minutes before he had enough but with this one I can keep going/going. The design seems so simple but the results speak for themselves. I should have gotten this years ago. THANK YOU!

By jove, he likes it!!
My boy cat has never been a fan of being brushed. He's a short hair, so he doesn't need it often but I noticed recently he was getting some dandruff on his back. Since he's never really tolerated brushing or combing, I decided to give this one a try. I'd seen it on some pet groomer videos online and it seemed to fit our needs. The first couple times we tried it, he'd tolerate it for a few minutes at a stretch and then get antsy, but even that was making a big difference in how soft his coat was and the dandruff situation.Well, it finally worked. He just laid in my lap putting while I brushed him. I've had him since a kitten and he's never purred while being brushed or even relaxed during it. He actually likes this brush!

It works....
I felt a little bit ripped off when I saw what it really was. A hack saw blade in a hand holder. But it's easy to use and it actually works great.

Very impressed. Cuts vacuuming in half.
Does this thing work? I think the better question is, do you have a vacuum that will pickup the second dog you’ve created? This thing is great. I recommend. We have 4, yep 4, German Shepards. We typically vacuum multiple times a day, but since using this thing twice a week, we now only vacuum every other day. This thing gets hair that our other combs and brushes don’t get. I was a little worried at first because it’s made of wood and metal, but the dogs enjoy when we use it. They do bicycle kicks and they’re happy as can be. None of our dogs act like they’re in any pain, they don’t thrash, struggle, cry, or run. So for our Shepards, this thing is painless. We use the brush on dry hair. We brush their sides, necks, back, and belly. The brush is easy to use, doesn’t seem to snag their skin, doesn’t rip or pull. However I find it easier to utilize if you hold your dogs skin taught. Not pulling on their skin, just keeping it from giggling around.I will likely be purchasing more of these to give away as gifts for my fellow dog lovers. I am extremely impressed.
