A Conspiracy of Ravens book
Quirky book full of collective nouns for animals accompanied by Thomas Bewick engravings. If you get the chance go and see the original engravings, Bewick's workshop and birthplace at the National Trust property 'Cherryburn' near Hexham. Really interesting and very friendly staff.

It does the job
Generally a good black and white read but does not cover all birds, a bit pricey

collective nouns
Sparse info, not really what I was expecting. Just a collective noun on each page, but no explanation or history of the words.

Very dull. All it is is a list of different terms - one per page. No explanation, background or even commentary. Dunno why Mr. Oddie put his name to it.
