Very nice clipper

Christmas 2024 and I wanted one last small gift for my 22yo son. Even though he's married, has a career, and lives in a different state than us, I *still* have to nag him about clipping his nails, especially his toeanails. He let's them grow and eventually....wait for it....PEELS THEM OFF. Both his wife and I cringe. I saw these nail clippers on Amazon and thought hey....I've always purchased the traditional nail clippers and realized that maybe what he needs is something that looks more like a car tool than a beauty tool (he is a gear head and his hobby is cars). Reviews for this clipper looked good, not too pricey, and looked pretty masculine and intriguing. So I bought it and wrapped it as soon as it arrived. Christmas Day and he unwraps it and he thought it was the sickest thing ever (in Gen Z vocabulary). We were all impressed by the little tin box that it came in (which will probably get tossed but it added to the effect). Son took off his sock and in front of the whole family (and those relatives on zoom), he clipped his big toe nail with one easy motion. These clippers are durable, sturdy, sharp, and effective. A nice clean cut and the toe nail didn't go flying across the carpet! It also made a solid "thunk" sound which to gear heads is the type of satisfying sound they like to hear when a tool works well, I guess. Watching my son take joy in clipping his toe nails was very gratifying and the rest of the family clapped with excitement as well. I actually think his wife was a little jealous because now she wants one, too. PS. Just hope he manages to keep this in his bathroom drawer and not his tool chest in the garage. I had to remind him that this fancy tool is to use on his toe nails, not on his car.

This is the best nail clipper I have owned in my 82 years on the Mud Ball! I'm truly impressed with the thought and detail that went into its design. Some features are important and few nail clippers have had them all, I have found over the years--but this little guy has it all: small, but powerful, with locking fold-down handle that allows it to fit into its tin box for storage; wide jaws make for easy trimming of the largest toe nail; only needs light pressure for effectively cutting tough nails (easy on my arthritic hands!); the built-in nail catcher makes for a no-mess clipping anywhere; and it was at a bargain price for what you get in this nail clipper! (A nail file is incl. but it's a bit wimpy, so I don't use it.)
