K&N 57-1563 Washable and Reusable Car Performance Intake Kit

Looks AWESOME, sounds AWESOME at full throttle. Noticeable power increase. Super easy install. Couldn’t be happier!

Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Fillter. Hat einen kernigen Klang wenn Leistung abgerufen wird, und hält sich dezent zurück beim cruisen. Anbau ist kein Problem, passte alles. Natürlich ist die Optik super. Ob es eine Leistungssteigerung gibt kann ich nicht sagen, oben rum habe ich aber das Gefühl.

First, I installed this on a 2018 Grand Cherokee Limited Sterling edition with the 5.7L equipped with the tow package. I have also installed K&N intake systems on at least 6 other vehicles over the last decade. As expected the fit and engineering is very good. It took less than 20 minutes to install - in part because there are not many factory mounting points and removal of the stock intake system takes about 2 minutes. After installing I took it for a 5 mile test drive - mainly to see what the noise level is. I was surprised how quiet the K&N system is for this vehicle. Probably the quietest intake I have installed to date, and it only has a slight grumble at full open throttle above 3,000 RPM. That is a good thing - my wife rolled her eyes when she saw the box arrive, and at idle and normal acceleration is really isn’t much louder than stock. Throttle response is slightly better and I have no idea if I’ll see an increase in mileage, but I’ve actually been happy with the 19-20 we have seen in the first 1,000 miles. As others have mentioned, be careful with the air sensor - it’s fragile but as long as you remove and replace by hand you will be fine. There is a metal coolant line on my Jeep that runs under the intake - I had to bend the bracket on the line to allow it to clear but you can also fine tune the angle of the intake tube before tightening the fittings on both sides. Looks great and I like the reusable / washable filter. I’d buy this again.

Il collettore di aspirazione risulta molto semplice da installare a monte del corpo farfallato in sostituzione dell'intake originale. Solamente il sensore di temperatura aria risulta essere leggermente "lasco" nel suo nuovo alloggiamento. Con un o-ring di maggiore spessore rispetto all'originale si rimedia facilmente.

I bought this k&n product because it looks great and makes the most power, but when installing it found that it does not fit properly if you have a Grand Cherokee with an SRT Hood the box hits, it has to be modified to fit which I think is ridiculous for the money you spend on this intake. On the k&n website and even Amazon says it fits all models which is not right, I've always been a believer of k&n and only bought k&n. After installing it, i road tested and the intake is amazing and performs beautifully I wish they made the box a little lower so it doesn't have to be modified to fit
