A classy CCW purse with a lot of functionality built into it.
There is a lot to love with this CCW purse. It's very Chanel and looks lux...and boy isn't that already setting it apart from the competition which thinks you only carry your weapon when you're wearing cowboy boots and jeans, rather than heels and a dress. This purse will go black tie and no one is going to guess it's holstering your weapon. So how about that holster compartment? On the plus side, even with a full-sized Springfield 9mm in the holster compartment, my wallet, eyeglass case, cell phone and keys don't get cramped. That's a huge plus since it has to function as a purse first and a place to holster the gun second.Next, its holster compartment is very well thought out. If you're going to be using it discreetly in public, the quiet nylon zippers are way better than the metal zippers in many of the other popular purses out there. There is an exceptional amount of room for both the gun and your hand, so you can unzip it and have it functional without pulling it out. As my CPL instructor reinforced, the best weapon is one that no one sees coming...so this is a great purse for that. The zippers also zip down, so that also adds to the huge discretion factor. But most importantly for us moms and grandmas, the compartments come with locks. You can go visiting with friends and not worry that someone's going to go searching for gum and come out with your gun. Just unlock it when they're not around. The padding around the compartment keeps them from knowing anything is hidden in the purse at all.The other major plus is the strap. Not only is it wire-reinforced to keep it from being cut in a snatch-and-grab, but it also adjusts perfectly for cross-body carry. There are just a couple of tweaks that I would suggest. First off, there are few errant stitches inside at the top of each zippered opening that need to be clipped to get the gun in and out. It isn't as much of an issue with a smaller weapon like my Glock .380, but with the 9mm it is the difference of even being able to get the gun in. That brings the second tweak: the zippered openings would be a lot more practical for smoothly getting a gun in and out if they were just 1/4-inch higher. The M&P 9mm in particular could really use that little bit more. You can get it in with a little angling, but you'll have to shoot through the purse if you need the gun in an emergency because it's very awkward to angle it back out. The issue is the size of your clip. The bigger the clip, the longer the handle. Both of my 9mm's come with 13 round magazine, which adds that little extra to the length of the weapon. A compact 9 mm wouldn't have the problem, but the full-sized 9mm is just that smidge awkward. Some of us don't have the benefit of being able to afford multiple CC purses, so we have to buy wisely. This is a lot more affordable than most of the competition on the market, in great part because they're using a synthetic instead of leather, so it's a great addition to your CCW/CPL wardrobe. Face it, a clingy dress isn't conducive to a bra holster or even a thigh holster. You need something that can take the gun into society without anyone knowing it's there. This purse is a pretty admirable competitor in that part of the market. Nope, it's not a cowboy boots and jeans purse, but it is an appropriate purse for professional women, moms with tots, and women who actually go out at night and want to look really nice and not weighed down. The other suggestion, and it's really for the practicality of it being a CC "holster", is that it would really benefit from having a practical slot inside the purse for an extra clip. I know, I know, that's not common in many CCW purses anywhere, but gee whiz it's that practical element that would be a major added value and a trivial manufacturing cost. This was my Christmas present from my husband...though, of course, I picked it out myself. It's a really great purse and an admirable holster for a concealed weapon at the same time. Major kudos.

Great CCW purse for a smaller firearm!
Ordered this to conceal my Glock 26 and am pleased with the purse so far! It's very cute, doesn't look like a CCW purse at all except for the side zippers if you know to look for those, and my first day with the purse I received two compliments from complete strangers at the grocery store. Finding a cute purse for CCW that has style, everyday practicality for carrying my important things, AND is practical for concealing discreetly and safely is tough, but this purse doesn't skimp on either if you are carrying a small enough firearm. I wouldn't recommend for women with large hands or larger firearms though - it is a smaller bag which I like for style and discretion, but the zipper opening for the compartment is a bit small and even catches a bit on my 26 when I practice drawing from concealed with my larger hands. It will take practice to get better and faster at it, but I realize it would be a better purse for a slightly smaller firearm. The locking zippers are awesome though, works well enough. Another thing to note is the included holster for this purse. It's a firm holster that protects the trigger guard area and has strong velcro on both sides for secure placement in the concealed compartment. It was difficult getting it positioned right at first for a comfortable draw at the right angle because the velcro kept snagging when trying to set it right, so I used two pieces of paper to block the Velcro on each side until I was comfortable with the placement and pulled the paper out when the holster was in place to secure it. This helped a lot! The first few times I tried and had to keep removing it to reposition, the strength of the velcro began pulling the stitching from the velcro lining on the inside of the purse compartment. Now that it's in place though, this holster won't budge unless I forcefully and carefully try to remove it.All in all, I love this purse! Just wish the zippered opening for the concealed compartment was just a hair wider!UPDATE: Almost a year later and this is STILL my favorite daily carry purse! I bumped it up to 5 stars for that. I get compliments on it all the time from people who don’t even know it’s a carry purse, and it’s still holding up great with minimal wear and tear! The areas it’s starting to feel it’s age and use and abuse is really only the cross shoulder strap stitching where the strap hook is sewn to the purse body is starting to come loose on one side, but I love this purse so much that I’ll be taking it to a shoe repair place to see if they can stitch it back up for me.

Great Quality but Poor Branding
The style of this bag is great, the pistol pocket is good size, it's extremely durable, and well made. One realy important suggestion though - do not put the name of the bag in such plain sight in such bold and easily readable font/size. I say that because when you "google" Valkri the first thing that comes up is "concealed carry purse" - nothing like advertising that're you are packing heat! I covered the name plate up with black electrical tape on mine. I know how it goes, another woman says "oooh I like your purse, Valkri, I've not heard of that brand before" (other woman proceeds to google it!!)...That is not a conversation I want to have! If I'm concealing then I don't want others to know! I didn't think it would be that obvious when I ordered mine, but I found a way to disguise it with the tape, so it works.

Purse is very sturdy (so far)
Purse is very sturdy (so far). I've used it for about 3 weeks. Just a tad tight on the inside, but I have a planner. I appreciate all the pockets and a nice blend of fashion and function. Conceal area has a super strong Velcro to keep you from yanking the holster out in a panic, BUT... it also makes it super hard to readjust the position of the holster once you get it in there. All-in-all, I'm very happy with it, especially for the price.
