Enjoyed it!
This book had me laughing and swooning! Sloane was so fun and everything she said and did was hilarious. Hudson definitely needed someone like her to bring him back to life and it was entertaining to see her push his buttons. Their chemistry was amazing but I kind of didn't like how Sloane was the one who initiated things between them and Hudson always pushed her away. The back and forth between them was too much but the angst added more depth to the plot. I wanted more scenes of them getting to know each other because those were the parts that were the highlight. Still I found the characters to be likeable and the dramatic scenes were funny so overall I enjoyed reading it!

A Hilarious Rom-com
Getting this as an ALC is the best thing I have done, because oh my god!!! The narrators did an amazing job 🫶🏼 I Love...love... Loved it so much. Vanessa Edwin & Jason Clarke (The narrators) were so perfect. This book is Hilarious and I am laughing my heart out 🫶🏼Sloane's nervous banter and monologues were pure entertainment and Hudson being the grumpy MMC made it even more fun 😄 I love Sloane so much 😍 she is mature, takes what she wants and stands for herself. She is so lively and cheerful..Hudson was amazing too. I was a little bit angry with how he treated her but the grovelling was worth it ✨ I like how his character arc went. I liked his grumpy side but I loved his vulnerable side. How he started opening up, sharing things and showing emotions and expressing his feelings 🤌🏼🤌🏼 that warm, cosy and sweet side of him was amazing 😍.Overall I had so much fun with this ALC. I have her previous works in my TBR pile for a long time and now I would definitely go and read them 🥰 This hilarious rom-com will have laughing out loud, make you cry a little and lets you have a lot of butterflies 💓

THIS BOOK DESERVES 1000-FREAKING-STARS!!!
The book that completely ruined me (in the best way possible)I went into this book knowing—KNOWING—I was going to love it, because let’s face it, Meghan Quinn owns the rom-com genre for me. But baby, I was not ready for how hard this book would hit. It didn’t just meet expectations… it soared past them, flipped them over, and basically set a whole new bar I’m not sure any other rom-com can reach. Hands down, this one landed straight into my top three of all time. From the very first page, I was hooked like a fish on a spicy little romance line. I picked it up after the most exhausting day—got home past midnight, told myself I'd just read a chapter… Cut to me, still wide-eyed and clutching my Kindle at 6am, sleep-deprived, mildly sick, running on zero hours of rest for a function the next morning—and not a single regret in sight. Worth every damn second. Now let’s talk Hudson—holy hotness in a suit. That grumpy, responsible, too-hot-for-his-own-good man had me swooning hard. The way he tries so hard to do the right thing, to protect everyone around him, especially when it comes to Sloane? Be still my heart. And Sloane?? That girl is a whole vibe. She’s witty, sexy, sharp-tongued, and radiates this resilient, irresistible energy that had me wanting to be her best friend and biggest fan at the same time. That mouth of hers? Iconic. Dangerous. Hilarious. The sexual tension? Off the charts. But what I loved most—it never got frustrating. The slow burn was so perfectly paced that by the time they finally gave in… OH MY GOD. That scene? Whew. I was sweating through my pj’s, fanning myself like I was at a Bridgerton ball. Literal perfection. The spice? 11/10. Meghan, you spicy queen. But what really melted me was the growth. The way Hudson slowly opened up? The way Sloane stood her ground, and how their relationship went from marriage for business to something so real and tender? Ugh, my heart. And the communication—bless this book for showing two people actually talking, working through things without unnecessary drama. It’s refreshing, it’s real, it’s everything I want in a romance.Yes, Hudson messes up. But the way it’s handled? So authentic. Sloane doesn’t just take it—she claps back, and I cheered for her every damn time. This story is structured like a dream, and it’s one of those rare books that’s going to stay carved in my heart for a life time. Also? That regency-themed wedding? The London vibes? The reconciliation with the father? The epilogue?! Girl. I laughed, I sobbed, I sweated, I wanted to throw my Kindle, and then hug it forever. This book made me feel everything. So yeah. HIGH-FREAKING-LY RECOMMEND. If you haven’t read Bridesmaid by Chance, you are 1000% missing out. Meghan Quinn, you’ve officially ruined rom-coms for me because nothing else will ever compare.
