Safety Warning Contains macadamia nuts. Store in a cool and dry place, refrigerate after opening. Review: Weird thing... - I bought this and unsweeterned vanilla one to try what is the macadamia nutmilk craze all about. The vanilla one was fine but very watery (like cheap almond milk, not the barista style one). This one was definitely enhanced with some flavouring (maybe a touch of vanilla?) As it turned the soup into a weird concoction of cauliflower, dill and vanilla..... Good for smoothies tho, but not for coffee or cooking Review: Tasteless - Bit disappointed thought it was tastier than that

Keto non-dairy milk
Bought this as a non dairy milk for Keto. It’s been great in smoothies. Has an almost vanilla flavour. Really happy with it and good to have in tea too.

I developed gestational diabetes during my last two pregnancies and despite having dropped a lot of weight, I am still considered pre diabetic. I am also sadly lactose intolerant. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until after my last pregnancy that I found out how awful oatmilk is for diabetics because it absolutely sky rockets your blood sugar levels. Which may be a reason why my diabetes has carried into my postpartum era. Anyways, I was told by a dietitian that most milk alternatives raise blood sugar levels exponentially. However, coconut and macadamia nut are the two that are your best options. Now, with this being said, I have switched to the macadamia nut milk for my overnight oats, protein shakes, and chia pudding and they all taste great. There is no overpowering nutty taste like that of almond milk and it is not sweet or toasty like coconut milk. To me, it’s the closest taste to regular milk when used in prepping items that call for milk. I have never been someone who enjoyed drinking a plain glass of milk and will not drink this on its own either. I will say that the texture is about as thick as vitamin d milk and it unfortunately does not froth in my milk frother. Also, it does not taste good as an alternative to oatmilk in coffee. Overall, I have found it to be a great milk substitute that is still relatively versatile and not terribly expensive.

I eat what I eat and drink what I drink because I love food. I'm not vegan, keto, or anything but an inspired eater. I enjoy nut milks for drinking, baking, having over cereal, and for smoothies. Not a fan of most of them for coffee as it always lends an odd flavor. For that I stick to heavy cream, half and half, oat milk, or go black. I make an exception for their Milkadamia Macadamia and Coconut creamer. And so being pleased enough with that, I decided to try this UNSWEETENED macadamia shelf stable (until opened) milk. This has a decent flavor, though I pick up on a vanilla taste that shouldnt be there. I could not use this in applications that I dont want any added flavor. So I will be using this for smoothies, which is fine as it was my main reason for getting it. I buy cartons of non dairy milk, but I like keeping the shelf stable boxes well stacked in my pantry because I dont want a lot of cartons taking up space in my fridge. I am not the type to go to the store every day, let alone every week, so I keep a balance of fridge items and shelf items. For whatever reason, they do not include a picture of the nutritional profile. Lots of other pictures of the container, but not a single on of the important information??????!! Why? Another thing? ingredient list is off. The calories per 8 ounce serving is 40, not 50. There are 4 servings per container. Do not freeze Refrigerate after opening (use within 7-10 days) INGREDIENTS (for unsweetened option): macadamia milk (filtered water, macadamias), calcium phosphate, natural flavors, pea protein, sunflower lecithin, locust bean gum, sea salt, gellan gum, D2 I would consider this again depending on the price. The unsweetened is currently $11.96 for a pack of 6, which is quite reasonable for about $2 per carton. I keep an eye out for sales, and never buy at full price.

My husband and I don't drink cow's milk because I try to keep my carbs fairly low, and he is lactose intolerant. It doesn't matter that much to my husband, because he only really uses it as an ingredient in things, since he has never been a big milk drinker. I, on the other hand, used to drink milk as my primary beverage and loved it with pretty much every meal. I really miss it. So, I have tried pretty much every unsweetened milk alternative I could get my hands on -- you name it, I've almost certainly tried it (soy, almond, coconut, hemp, oat, hazelnut, blends thereof, etc. etc.). I had never come across macadamia milk before, though. So, when I saw it on sale for Prime Day, I jumped on it, even though it was a 6-pack. It sounded pretty good, since I'm a fan of macadamias. Plus, I figured it had good potential for milk, since they're such a creamy nut to begin with. And wow -- no regrets. This milk is so rich and smooth, with none of that "off" aftertaste that most milk alternatives have. It still isn't dairy -- so don't go in expecting that. But that said, it is the closest I have ever come to finding a true milk replacement. This is actually enjoyable to just drink by the glass or with a meal. In particular, it's not too thin, and it doesn't have an overly distinctive, in-your-face kind of flavor. It's neutral and goes well with almost anything, which is what I always loved about cow's milk. If you've been searching like me and haven't been satisfied yet, I definitely recommend you try this stuff. I was not disappointed, and I doubt you will be either.
