Good knives - over priced for what they are

Very good knives, really sharp and nice to use.

Item broke within a few weeks

I got these on impulse when on daily deal (although decent knives had been on the wish list for some time), so only after ordering read other reviews and my heart sank. Even at deal price, it's a lot to pay if they aren't up to scratch.Thankfully I have no cause to worry. They're beautiful precision made knives, light, and perfectly balanced. When they arrived, they were so sharp I was on-edge (no pun intended) when handling them because they were so unbelievably keen. I truly believe I could have re-enacted the scene from the Bodyguard with the Samurai sword and a silk scarf (...or maybe just a piece of kitchen roll).The knives admittedly lost some of their edge (as happens with any blade) but even so, they remain by far the sharpest I own. Edit - easily brought back to a fine edge with my  Minosharp Plus 3 Ceramic Water Sharpener 550 - Black/Red  - I'd been using an AnySharp which is brilliant for cheap knives but frankly these warrant more care.The peeler is also fantastic, and can take a layer of skin off so thin and so effortlessly, it has actually become almost fun peeling spuds.The only thing I need to do now is put up a magnetic knife rack - because chucking these in the drawer simply defeats the object.

Very sharp and very useful

It is expected but it is a investment.

Best knives I ever had, and even though I never got used to using vegetable peelers, the one that comes with the knives is amazing, it's so easy to slice up any kind of vegetable or peel them, the blade on it is very sharp. The knives are super sharp too, so be careful with your fingers, it does not forgive. Very nice handle and weight, feels very good to use them.

Excellent value set. Two,decent size knives and a great vegetable peeler. Purchased to add to an existing collection of Global knives and really pleased with this choice. Amazing price.
