Light, bouncy, and versatile — perfect for daily training
I’ve put around 80–100 km on the FuelCell Rebel v4 so far, and it has quickly become one of my favorite daily trainers. The ride is lightweight, smooth, and has just the right amount of bounce thanks to the FuelCell foam blend. It feels fun to run in — especially on tempo runs and strides, but it’s also gentle enough for easy days. What I really appreciate is that it strikes a great balance between responsiveness and cushioning. It’s not a soft, mushy shoe, but it still protects the legs on longer runs. The new outsole design gives solid grip, and the upper is breathable and fits securely.Fit runs true to size, with enough room in the toe box, and the lockdown is solid even without over-tightening.If I had to nitpick, the heel collar is slightly minimal, and may not be ideal for runners who prefer more structure in that area. But for me, it hasn’t been an issue at all.In short: light, fun, and fast — a great option for runners who want versatility without sacrificing comfort.

Really nice shade of green
These felt really lightweight and wellmade and great design. Unfortunately, I had to return them. I have 4E wide feet and even after ordering both a wide width and sizing up, they still felt too tight.I think these would be an excellent fit for anyone with standard or slightly wide feet, but if you need extra wide sizing like I do, they may not work out. I really wanted to keep them, but when running long distance, comfort has to come first.

Amazing shoe
Fits true to size, cushioning is great since there is a lot of it, and most of all it runs amazing. It is great for any run, races or even easy runs. Overall it is a great shoe.

Great workout sneakers
Been wearing them to the gym. The fit for me is excellent. Good stability when I’m doing free weights and also when I’m on the elliptical or treadmill. Today I walked ariunthe park, it was 3.3 miles and I really liked the way the sneakers performed

Very lightweight and cushy runners/whatevers
Excellent, soft cushioning, extremely lightweight. I followed suggestions and sized up a half a size. I’m not a runner, so these are work shoes and they’ll do great. Very thin upper material is only concern. Not sure how durable. Look nice, not overly narrow tie box. Thumbs up!Edit: after a day at work, standing on concrete floors, these are amazing. Super soft and thick cushioning, very lightweight and not overly narrow. Awesome. Def size up 1/2 size

Long run (concrete) must have
Needed a bit more cushion for long runs that were on sidewalks and pavement. These have been great and they havd a wide toe box for foot health and running strength that worked for us.

Great fit and performance. Terrible durability.
I’ve been wearing the NB 1030 for 15 years. I’m an amateur triathlete doing 3-4 70.3 to fulls a year and average 50-75 miles per month running. I wanted to try this light weight trainer on my training runs because I’ve heard great things about it. Here’s my take:Comfort and Feel 5/5: Great responsive shoe with excellent balance and feel. The shoe feels incredibly comfortable on the first run right out of the box. The fit is true to size. No issues with toe box or width. The lightweight upper holds your foot snug unlike other lightweight trainers like Ultras. It also has good arch and heel support.Performance 5/5: The lightweight design and foam core give excellent power return and make strides feel effortless.Look and Design 5/5: I love the look of the shoe. It comes in a lot of great color options. If you’re used to the 880 or 1030 you’d transition no problem.Durability 1/5: This shoe lacks a true rubber sole. The bottom of the shoe is only 50% protected with tread and the rest is exposed foam. I’ve done 15 miles on road and bike trails and the bottom of the shoe looks comparable to 200 miles of wear on my 1030s. This is huge design flaw in my eyes. At the rate these shoes are wearing down I’ll be lucky to get 100-150 miles out of them.Price 3/5: If the shoe had a solid tread I’d say it’s a steal for the price but with terrible durability I’m going to be replacing this shoe every 2-3 months.Overall: Great shoe in terms of comfort and performance but it’s terrible durability crush this shoe’s potential. This shoe falls in the class of a trainer but has the weak durability of a race shoe without the benefit of carbon. If NB puts a full tread on this shoe it’ll be the best trainer out there. Until then it’s a short term trainer you’d use on treadmills only.
