Everyone should own this series of the walton family with their 7 children and grandmother and grandfather,its heartwarming-funny-sad-touching all at the same time set in the depression time in the 30's and managing to live on a shoestring in the united states country side,it ran for 9 years so you will not notice the children growing up from little children to young adults as time goes by,evry story is different so you will not need to watch them in order or worrying about missing an episodei have now got series 1 to 6 and i will be buying 1 of the other 3 every month or so as at £15 to £20 or more they are not cheap but well worth buying,one of the best tv series ever made.

Although German release subtitles can be removed and so can German language overdub. Therefore fully watchable in English Great family stories

Perfectly watchable in English
Although the cover and initial titles are in German, the programme plays in English, in the voices of the original characters. It's just the titles on the menu and the writing on the outer cover that are in German. You just choose your langage when the menu pops up.Great DVD and took me back to when I used to watch it as a child.Arrived in good time and well packed.

Great series
The Waltons series 6 retells a great series of events in the lives of this family at a time in American history that is quite ole now to our generation. The quality of the DVD is very good with subtitles an excellent addition if you want

Another fantastic series :D
It's unfortunate that series 6 is not produced with a UK English cover. However, this was an excellent purchase! The menus are in German but it is easy enough to navigate round and all the episodes can be watched in English with no subtitles.

Quality good but subtitles are in French, we were not warned , DVD's came from Australia Most important as we are both hard of hearing.
