Great Little Smoker - a Value!
I have been curious to try smoking at home - this little smoker is a great valuePerfect if you want to try your hand at smoking - I bought this with a collection of wood chips and smoked different cheeses with different wood chips - it worked very well, ONE THING you need to make sure you clean it thoroughly after EACH use - resin from the wood will gum up the fan blade and they will not turn if not clean - I had thought it would be good for a few uses before cleaning, however, second time I used it fan would not turn until I cleaned it - then all was well! I used some Q-tips and some warm water with a little dish soap to gently clean the fan blades and chamber - just until the Q-tip no longer came out dirty. All in all - works as it should - does a great job at small batch smoking!

Buy something else.
Used it once. It worked well. Was able to makeshift my toaster oven to set the meat on and smoked for a few minutes. The chips I got had great flavor. I cleaned it out a little and got rid of the stuff that built up on the mesh, cleaned the fan fins down with a dry q-tip.I went to use it again last night since I had family visiting, and it never would turn on. Thinking batteries were dead, I swapped them, tried a few more times, then went to remove them and burned my finger on the metal portion of the battery plate - there was a definitive short!Worked once and I even cleaned it after first use.

Like It But.......
Pros:1) Works well.2) Very sturdy3) Not loud4) Easy to install, and remove batteries; and operateCons:1) The hose came with two kinks that were not able to straightened2) Hose is very flimsy and the ends weren't cut evenly3) The wood chamber is quite small; but don't need a lot of wood chips/pellets.Luckily I have an extra rubber hose; so will use that instead.

Quit after two uses: UPDATE...I fixed it ! AND have had enormous success. Score went from a 1 to a 3 to a 5.....
I like it when it worked...but it did not make it past 2 uses. The resin from the smoke drools down and totally gummed up the fan and motor. The fan would not turn at all. I have no idea how a person could prevent that from happening. The fan blade is right under the smoke basket.UPDATE#1: I changed my vote from 1 to 3. I was able to get the smoker to work again by removing the top and using a Q tip with acetone ( squeezed out the excess so it was damp and not dripping wet) , cleaned the fan blade and fan compartment of resin. Eventually after some cleaning the blade and motor turned and ran. From now on I will use less wood, smoke for a shorter period and clean the top with alcohol after useUPDATE #2: OK I went from a 1 on the score to a 5 with 3 at my 2nd UPDATE. THIS IS AN AMAZING TOOL if you clean it with alcohol and Q tips after use to keep it clean . Do this right away when the resin from the wood is liquid. You pull to top off then you can clean the basket, under the basket and the rim. Squeeze the cotton tip after soaking in alcohol and clean all around the fan. Wipe with dry cotton Qtip.UPDATE#3 OK this is the greatest idea. You take a plastic container( like the ones you get mixed nuts in). Works best with a wide screw lid. Make a hole just under the rim so that the hose goes straight to the container. Cube the meat after seasoning and add to container. Attach hose and screw on lid. Use a small amount of wood chips. I like using a teeny spoon like the kind you get with an espresso. Light with a stout wood match. Once you get a teeny flame then start the engine running. You will see the smoke. I pulse it. NOT LONG...just enough to fill that container with smoke. Remove hose from container and smoker. Plug hole with a slightly damp paper tower and seal with a rubber band. Shake shake shake. Now you can clean the smoker as your meat smokes. Practice make perfect.UPDATE #4 I plan to send this smoker to family as a Christmas giftCOMMENT : Manufacturer needs to add the mode of cleaning to the instructions. If not...the smoker will freeze up as the resin cool in the fan blade/motor. DO NOT USE TOO MANY CHIP...that's another thing. Wood matches are your best lighting tool.

[REAL REVIEW] - Good Infuser for the price
Update 12/24/2018 - Still working great after over 30 uses. Using it daily!Added four more pics to show the resin runoff into the fan like mentioned by another purchaser. Q-tips and alcohol clean it up easily though. You are bound to have that with all smoke infusers as well as big smokers you might have at home. It's just part of it!Pics are after about 18 loads of the bowl or whatever you want to call it lolOverall it is a really easy to use and a nice smoke Infuser. So far I've used it to mildly add smoke flavor to cheeses, and it works great putting out a nice amount of smoke per bowl.- container in fridge- cheese in container- fill with a bowl of smoke and close lid- come back in and hour- flip cheese and repeat- one hour later remove cheese- dry moisture off cheese(if any)- vacuum seal- wait 4-6 days...YUM!!!I will add another Star every 6 months of use i have without issues.I would rather have a switch ON/OFF button instead of a press click one. And I have yet to try and clean it, so we will see how that goes here soon...But overall so far it is a nice, fun little smoker.
