Works great in Chile w/ electric blanket
So I bought one of those cheap converters that had 3 plugs and take in 110-220v and output 110v. I thought how convenient. I tested it in California with an electric blanket and noticed that the blanket didn't get hot, just slightly warm compared with plugging it in directly onto the outlet, so I return it. I tried this unit. Has good reviews and supposedly is able to power hair dryers according to the description (the box that it came in says not to use hair dryers) but I took a gamble anyways. The unit was so much beefier than the previous one I bought before. Once I arrived in Chile, I took the blanket out, plugged it in and work perfectly. The unit doesn't get hot and makes 0 noise. Exactly what I wanted. Glad I went with this unit

Worked great.
My sister used this on her Spain trip. She said it worked perfectly and was a great addition for her charging abilities.

It worked well with curling iron
Took it to Pakistan where it's 230volts. It worked well while using flatteners & curlers, however using it with a hair dryer made it over heat every time after a few minutes of use. But not with curlers & flatteners. So we would stop using and let it rest and start again. So overall it did do its job as described in product description.

Yes, it's a real transformer
I bought this specifically to run a 120V tungsten grinder off the same 240V power as my arc welder. The grinder is rated at 1 amp, so the power ratings are perfect. Since this is an actual step-down transformer, I see no problems for my application. It weighs about 1.5 lbs so this might not be so great if you're using it for travel and packing ultra-light but it does its job very well. Amazon's review asked for a "drying power" rating which is grossly inappropriate for this 200W unit. It will run your small appliances fine but NOT a 2KW blow dryer! Silly Amazon...

Worked just as I expected
We bought this for a Europe trip to use with a hair curler and hair iron. It worked perfectly well without overheating. Only downside is the weight and the form-factor. It is rather hefty due to it being an actual voltage step down transformer. We packed it in the checked-luggage rather than in a carry-on or back-pack. Despite its "unwieldiness", I recommend this item because I couldn't find a better or more suitable, i.e., lighter and smaller, alternative for a voltage step down transformer.

Voltage converter
Used for travel, easy to use and do not take a lot of space in the bag. REMEMBER you need to check your watts on your electric technology and multiple by 3 to use it. Example hairdryer usually take 1800 watts multiple by 3 = 5400 watts, so for hairdryer you need get around 6000 watts Voltage Converter. Edited: Using in Russia for almost 3 years to charge Dyson V8 Animal Extra cordless vacuum cleaner, for small coffee grinder every morning and other devices. No problem.

Don’t waste your money
Bought this adapter to use in Italy specifically for my hairdryer. It did slightly work for about five minutes then product completely overheats and shuts off. It takes about half an hour to cool down. The hairdryer didn’t even work at full capacity. Even whenever I used other products like my straightener, it would also overheat after a couple of minutes. We bought other adapters as well and they worked far better and weighed a fraction of what this one did. Save yourself money, frustration and weight in your suitcase. Don’t buy this.

Very good

If you have electronic/electric products that require 110/120 V supply voltage to run (say like a cordless phone or a dryer/blower that have a power rating under 400 watts, then this step down voltage converter is most ideal. Build quality and performance is top notch and is also priced okay. Keep in mind that you will require a travel adaptor like this: https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07YMK2Z43/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 if your US bought product has flat pins where one pin is slightly wider than the other pin. Do not buy this product if the wattage rating of your product is high as is the case with most kitchen gadgets. In that case you might want to get a servo stabiliser that delivers a steady120V output even if the grid voltage varies from 170 to 280 volts. Hope that helps.
