Allegro Coffee Organic Continental Blend Ground Coffee, 12 oz

This is my go-to coffee that I drink every morning in my drip coffee maker. It is balanced, smooth, and rich. I used to buy it at Whole Foods but can now only get it online through Amazon- I hope there are no plans to stop making this coffee! I love it so much and have always received it promptly when ordering (which is frequently).

UPDATED 4/14/26: upped to 5 stars since the price has been very reasonable. We adore this coffee and so does everyone we serve it to. It’s flavorful with no bitterness or acidity.We love this coffee and are shocked and saddened that it went from under $12 to $20!!!!! a bag. This is greedy.Edited: The price went back down again but now went up to $16. We do love this coffee, but not for this price per bag. For 2 people it lasts us 5-6 days. So we are on the hunt for a new coffee unfortunately.

These is a great brand of coffee I just discovered. High quality. My favorite is the Early Bird but seems that can only be ordered from the Amazon Fresh Market. So I tried this flavor. Very smooth. Definitely I would recommend.

3 of the 10 bags of coffee were Vienna Roast whole bean. I wanted all Continental ground. On the side label it says Continental, but on the front it is clearly Vienna Roast whole bean. And I just found out that it is not returnable. Thanks alot Allegro Coffee! I saved money on Amazon Prime Day only to throw it away on 3 bags of coffee that is too strong for me and I will never use. Early Xmas presents for some lucky person.

I agree with the reviewer that says it tastes like water, at least initially. I will say is that it didn’t have any unpleasant aftertaste like some weak/mild roast coffees have. However, the 2nd time I brewed a cup I am happy to say it seemed more normal and enjoyable! to me and not as weak. I can’t explain it but this roast turned out better after my first cup. I use 3 coffee scoops (6 tablespoons) and 12 ounces of water for a single serving pour over cone brewer. Normally I like a medium-dark roast coffee. This coffee was just purchased at Whole Foods (not Amazon) and the expiration is 5 months away. My favorite coffees currently (medium & dark roast) are Whole Foods Blend, Death Wish Coffee Co. Medium Roast and Peets Espresso Forte.

We only buy Allegra coffee because it’s low acidity. Doesn’t bother us like some other high acid coffees too. This one and the mocha are great flavors.

I'd give it higher score if the fragrance was stronger, but not bad at all.
