I love this sauce I have used this for the past 50 years or so. It makes everything taste great!! My store by me does not have this brand. Thank you for Amazon. That is my go to place all the time. It has never failed me yet. I would definitely recommend this product.

Used in place of Maull's
Nomnomnom worked well. A itsy bit sweeter and definitely more tangy but it worked really well! Best replacement and I e been looking for forever!

Open Pit - The Best BBQ Sauce I Have Ever Found and I Have Been Using It for Decades
I grew up in the Midwest with Open Pit on the table, and decades later, it’s still my favorite. It has a perfect balance of tangy and “just sweet enough” that other BBQ sauces never seem to get right. I used it recently on chicken for my book club and got rave reviews. The key is brushing it on near the end of cooking so it caramelizes slightly without charring. Incredible results every time. Now that I live in Texas, I can’t find it locally, so I order the multipacks on Amazon and keep a good supply on hand. If you grew up with this sauce, you already know. If you haven’t tried it, especially if you’re tired of sauces that are too sweet, this is your sign.

My 30 year family secret.
This has been my very own "Secret Sauce" for more than 30 years. I had just become a grandfather when my kids caught me filling my squeeze bottle with this amazing sauce. For decades, everyone loved it, and people were always begging me for my "recipe", which I always coolly declined on the grounds of "family secret". During this past 4th of July, I actually choked up a bit when I saw that my son-in-law, a true grill master, was now using Open Pit for his BBQ. The family secret may be out, but I could not have been more delighted.

BBQ SAUCE
I can't get this brand locally. I like it for certain recipes. "4 pack" I guess if you put bottles in a USP box, not a problem, it works. My only real complaint is not being able to read the date code. Barely legible on all 4 bottles. I'm assuming it is September 2025.
