It did cost less.......
First one has a failed battery about 1 year and six months in. Working with American Battery to replace. One annoying little problem, though. I have to send the battery in to them. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the UPS? Maybe? No battery = No UPS ?PS. Just go to the Manufacturer's website. I need one since I'm going to send mine in so I went online and found it cheaper with free shipping.

Huge price difference with APC's units...
So far so good. Was a little hesitant going aftermarket instead of with APC's battery, but the cost difference was hard to turn-down. Same size and connections, no brainer install.

Do NOT buy this!!!!!
My battery replacement arrive with one battery out of alignment and it couldn't slide into my UPS. I had to peal the 3M adhesive attached batteries apart just to line them up so it would slide in. Then when I went to power up the UPS it wouldn't turn on but instead it made a very unusual high pitched sound, that actually got higher in pitch the longer i left it on! It actually sounded like if I left the unit on it would explode... I had to completely unplug the unit from the wall to get it to stop. Plugged in the old batteries and the unit powered back up just fine. So I said forget it and decided to return them.... Now I am getting the run around between Amazon and the seller and they won't refund my money.... So please...DONT WASTE YOURS!!!!

Batteries worked
I love the fact that these had the cables attached to them just like in the photo. If I ordered these elsewhere I would have to remove the cables from my dead batteries and place them on the replacements. I did not have to do this with these batteries.

Works great
Installed in my APC unit as a drop in replacement. Immediately after installation, they started charging. When I tested the next day they held their charge while unplugged and it never drooped to the point of resetting my server farm. Great maintenance item.

Replacement Battery Cartridge #25
These battery cartridge is everything it was advertised to be. Perfect for our application. I would purchase another one if needed.
