Not the best, not the worst
So far, I'm impressed but not thrilled. These mics are decent, reasonable mics and for the cost I would say they are an OK buy. Fresh out of the box, I've had the chance to power them up and try them out just a little and there are some good things and some bad. First, the good. They are easy to get rolling. A few quirks that you NEED to know about the power button at the bottom of the mic and the sync of the mics to the receivers but there are several good videos available that teach all that.... watch them. Good sound quality, they use the Sennheiser 835 capsule and that is a good sounding mic for almost any vocal application. They work well (so far) strait forward and easy plug in and set up. They eat AA batteries like candy so get some rechargeable batteries, it will save you money in the long run. I like that it will deliver either mic signal or line signal to the output. Handy when you want to plug it into a simple amp or amplified speaker that needs line signal. The kit is pretty complete, mics, clips, receiver, power supply is a little sketchy but if I have to I can probably replace it later if need be, and it comes with batteries. Nice box and delivered promptly. Instructions were basic pictorial so go find some videos to help you with setup. Now for the bad. They are plastic, probably not for serious gigging and repeated stage use. If you will treat them gently, they will probably last, but if you're rough on your gear, spend extra and get better. They are really susceptible to handling noise, probably due to being plastic. Any movement of your hands on the microphone is audible. You can minimize some of the noise by changing the pad settings on the microphone (there are 4 settings available 0 to -30db) but the more pad you set, the more preamp you need to use and you will hear hiss (unless you have a REALLY quiet preamp). As I said before, the feature of mic or line signal is nice but when you bump it to line signal the change in noise ratio is very noticeable and not in a good way. I would say that these are not Sennheiser's best quality by far but they also aren't as expensive as the really good digital mics that Sennheiser makes. So, if you have a budget and you will use these in a careful way, on a stand most of the time, I think they are a good buy. If you're looking for hardcore mics that will stand a beating and have impeccable sound quality all around, spend the bucks and get better quality. Now that I've had them a couple of days, I've used these mics in a live stage situation and I like them. The battery usage is better than I thought it would be, I used rechargeable batteries and they lasted the entire 6 hours of time and still had plenty of battery left at the end, I'll be curious to see how long they will actually go before dying. The sound quality is really very good, a little heavy in top end but nothing a good EQ won't fix. But I'd say normal for a dynamic handheld mic. I did find a tiny bit of interference with one of the channels. When the receiver sees constant interference it skips that channel (when you set the channels by scan) but when the interference is intermittent, it won't know to skip that channel so you can have some problems. Syncing the mic requires you to have the mic in proximity to the box so you might have to stop, re-sync the mic to a new frequency and that might be a bit inconvenient if you're in a live show so try the mics for a few minutes before show start to make sure you are clear of interference. These mics will take gentle handling but you will hear any bump or movement of the mic stand. You will not be able to avoid it even with the highest pad setting on the mic. Still 4 of 5 stars... I'll keep posting as I use these more. I've been using these mics for a while now and I'm getting more and more happy with the quality and the use I'm getting from these. They have been used extensively and are holding up well to good use. I try to be careful with my gear but sometimes bumps and drops happen and so far I've not had any problems. As I'm learning the mics better, I'm learning more tricks that you can use with the EQ and pads on the board that will help reduce the handling noise, but it's still there. However, that's something I can work around for such a good sounding and responsive mic. Every time I use these I'm reminded how good the sound quality is. Nearly no noise but extremely sensitive, the sound quality is really excellent. A little boost in the bottom helps keep them balanced. They do have a slight tendency toward low end feedback if you aren't careful with the gain. But again, something that can be dealt with if you're careful.

Sennheiser is just the best
Out of the box these sound 10 times better than any other set in their price range. They work well for speaking. I swapped out a speakers microphone at an event recently with one of these and the first thing he said was “wow I like this one so much better” But they really shine with singers. This sound is comparable to a sennheiser E835 but they have a little more presence in my opinion. Not quite as bright as an E935, but they lean in that direction. I have used every mic available on this planet, over the course of my career, and I own half of them. Sennheiser is just the best. Always. Period. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you buy these.

I own an entertainment company so I needed a new set of wireless microphones. I really do not have much to say because if you know Sennheiser products, you know that this delivers great sound quality and is built of durable materials. I love how easy it is to use in terms of powering on/off, changing the channels, muting/unmuting, etc. I am very happy with this purchase and will definitely look into buying more. The product was as described and I got the product very quickly!

It’s one of best legitimate system that sennheiser have made and it’s really worth for the price. I have only one concern is, why they are not designed in a little portable carry case so it can be safer and last longer. It’s really recommanable system.
