Q: It is reported that the sizing is large so order a size smaller. Is this correct?

I take a 38 waist and 36 leg and found the sizing to be accurate. I suppose it's possible their larger sizes are more accurate than their smaller ones.

Q: Do they have leg ties at the bottom of the legs (ankle ties)?

5.11 Taclite trousers do not have leg ties at the bottom of the leg. However, they have two "buttonholes" in the "turn-ups" (or should I say "turn-ins") through which one can thread through paracord of a lace. I've exploited this feature on a couple of occasions.

My son wears these all year round,keeps him cool in warm weather and warm on cold days.if extremely cold then thermals fit well underneath.he uses them in woodlands and also at college.they always look smart too.As his mum I love them because they wash and tumble really well and I fold them in drawers and they still look new.He has jackets also that are 5.11 but I hang them to dry and always they still look new.shower proof,hard wearing ,smart,comfortable.100pc agree with comment by John.
