Classic DE razor with butterfly top load, adjustable shave level!
Tried everything from disposable to replaceable cartridge to even OneBlade (tm)... Decided I've had enough and ready to try DE razor, as cost of those items have gone up, and DE blades are dirt cheap (If you use one DE blade a week, $10 will get you 100 blades, which is enough to last you 2 YEARS!) The actual item did not disappoint. The butterfly mechanism works exactly as shown... The top opens and you can load the DE blade easily. Reverse spin to close. This is an adjustable razor, which means the angle of the blade can be adjusted slightly to provide a sharper... or shallower shave. If you just started using DE razors, keep the setting low (2-3). If you need sharper angles (closer shave) then turn up the settings gently to maybe 5 or 6, and remember to use plenty of shaving gel or foam or whatever you use. I chose an adjustable, but you can pick a "fixed" razor to save a few bucks, it just won't be this model. And they have different finishes to suit your mood... silver/steel, pewter, rainbow chrome, and so on. This came with 5 of their own branded blades to get you started, and as I don't have very thick facial hair, I only use about one a week. It is somewhat surprising that I need to replace them that quickly, but then, you don't want to shave with a dull razor, even a DE razor. Turning up the angle setting doesn't really help. I've tried. As mentioned before, if you use one blade a week, $10 will last you TWO YEARS. Even the famous H-brand razors with replaceable heads runs $18-20 a month! And these guys claim to have their own European factory making those heads themselves for savings! You'll make back what you spent on these in just a few months! So if you want to give DE razors a try, this one is great. It's not super-weighty, it's not "crafted from aircraft aluminum", it's just a solid DE razor you can shave with, and it works well.

Very happy with this razor!
This is my first experience with a safety razor like this and I must say, I’m loving it! The shave so close and ZERO bumps or burns. The adjustment in the handle is still a littler hard to understand and the directions in the box weren’t helpful, but I just keep it around 3/4 and it seems to work perfectly. The quality is very nice. It’s heavy, feels very solid and gives the impression of a well made razor. The blades are super cheap too, as specially compared to other options like disposables. I use the blades 4 or 5 times then toss them and they have no problem holding up to that use. I just use each side once then flip it and repeat. One could probably use them more, but why take a chance at the price. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone that’s interested in switching to a safety razor

Works Well
This is similar to the (major brand) adjustable double edge razor I had 30 years ago. The quality may not be as good - the adjustment ring is tight at one end of the range and a bit loose the rest of the range, but it stays where you put it and the shave is wonderful compared to the multi-blade profit-makers the major brands sell now.

The uneven blade gap is true
The product comes with a rubber band and bandana, both which appears useless in the context of shaving. Box also included a box of double edge razor from weishi. The quality of the double edge razor seems ok, but that is irrelevant to our discussion here. The main problem I cannot get over is that the razor sits unevenly in the bracket that is holding it. This is dangerous and unsafe. One way to overcome this is to set the adjustable setting to 1 (lowest) so that the shaving can still be relatively safe. I can understand why this gap exists, because this razor tries to achieve two engineering difficulty here. 1) having the razor open as butterfly and 2) being adjustable. Other brands like the parker variant or merkur futur is only adjustable and not butterfly open. Feather has one that is butterfly and adjustable, but with only two settings. This has 7 settings. 1 thing I like though is that the matte black is well polish and makes it look high quality. I am still considering whether to return this given the uneven gap. Seller should send me a updated version if there is one.

Beautiful Razor
I used Feather blades for my first go. I really love the weight, length and diameter of the handle. The opening operates smoothly (so far - it is new). I set the adjustment beginning at 1 and gradually got to 3, where it felt about right to me. Shave was good. I opened it a little to rinse it out as there was foam under the blade - no big deal. Its easier to load than my old standard razor, and nicer than the old Gillette butterfly razor that I inherited from my father. Didn't give it perfect rating for "value", which I assumed was cost, but it was money well spent.

Great safety razor! Shaves Great!
Finally decided to look for a new safety razor and retire my gillette fatboy. This razor cuts great. Not sure if it's the blades it comes with or not but my shaves are so much closer now. The handle is taking some getting use to, as I was use to the shorter handled gillette I was using. The razor is nicely weighted and I have my dial set at 5 for near perfect shaves. It seems to be a solid razor. Nicely packaged as well. Very happy with my purchase.

Adjustments don't work as intended.
I have to start off by saying that I really like the size and weight of this razor. It’s comfortable for me to use, but the shave quality is another matter. With a blade installed and tightened into place, the adjustment collar will only go down to about 2 1/2 and that does not result in a mild shave (there is quite a bit of blade feel at that setting). After you get to around 4, the blade starts to tilt in the head and gets worse as the setting increases; the blade gap becomes large at one end of the head and small at the other. This results in an inconsistent shave with several nicks. The razor body is fine, but the mechanism is very flawed.

Enjoy a close shave
Superb product! The safety edge razor I learned to shave with lasted over 45 years. It had traveled with me around the world and the day it broke I was shocked and saddened. Had I anticipated that day I would have bought two in my youth. I searched for a replacement and used disposables in the interim morning shaves; they were dark, very dark days indeed! Then in my searching I found Weishi, the description resembled what I had lost so I tossed the dice and decided to give Weishi a try. Other than the color and a slightly longer handle it was a perfect fit. After a quick lather using the shaving soap, mug and brush it was quick work to be clean shaven once more! I admit that I had doubts the lost days had dulled my hand, I feared the inevitable nicks from using a safety razor once more, but with the first pass of my new friend all was right. I rate this one an extremely strong buy! My only dilemma now is do I buy another for the day 45 plus years from now when this one breaks or wait to buy a replacement then, hmm! Oh, and I always start a new blade with a lower number and increase through the week, hit the top and it’s time for a new blade, 5 to 6 shaves per blade for me. Hope this was helpful and happy shaves everyone!
