We purchased this piece of equipment to help with production efficiency for items such as cookie plugs, pie dough, roll dough, etc. Our experience is this machine is a prototype at best, that the seller has collected funds to help with test their prototype. The machine did not perform as advertised. Specifically: - Dough pieces were inconsistent in size and weight, leading to production delays. - Speed control functions, including the digital speed panel, were non-operational, though this was not disclosed in the Amazon product description. - Only after receiving the unit did we find, in the manual, that these digital controls were not actually engineered to function. Because of these issues, the equipment did not meet the functional description or expectations set by the product listing, which is why it was returned. Before shipping it back, we ensured the equipment was fully functional, clean, and carefully packed. The seller stated that the unit was “non-functional” upon inspection, but we verified that it worked before returning. Their claim that it “can only be scrapped” is inconsistent with our experience using it. The equipment was returned clean, operational, and securely packaged. The issues that led to the return were due to inaccurate product descriptions and non-functional features, not damage or misuse. We requested that Amazon grant a full refund of $1,275 under the A-to-Z Guarantee, as the product was not as described, but we only received 50%. We also incurred shipping expenses totaling in the amount of $570 ($285 each way). You will be disappointed if you are looking for this equipment to produce anything larger than pastina or pearl couscous. Anything larger results in inconsistent size and weight, due to air gaps in dough. The equipment also present safety hazards, with the swinging blade cutter that has no shield or guard, and a very larger open hopper with exposed grinding mechanisms.
