Six Feet Under: Season 3 [DVD] [2005]

The Weaker Third Season
After seasons one and two, with their strong storylines and challenging material, season three starts off feeling a little flat. It is nowhere near so edgy, and a number of the early episodes are quite underwhelming. The obvious reason would be the absence of Brenda at the start, and the development of Lisa's character. Also the back stories of the deaths at the outset seem to figure less, and there are very few occasions of the corpses engaging with the leads. I have heard it suggested that the wakness of the stories might be connected to the writers' strike, but I'm not sure about the timing. However, stick with it, and the series does become darker and the story lines more interesting, leading to a powerful conclusion that in turn sets up season four.

The 3rd season of the greatest TV show of the last decade
Well, it's finally upon us, the release of season 3 of Six Feet Under. It was a stand out year for this amazingly dark comedy/drama hybrid - Conventions of the previous 2 seasonS were thrown out the window in favour of more in depth storytelling.A lot of people have said that this is the weakest season so far but i couldn't disagree more - from it's almost lynch-like apocalyptic opening to the shocking and upsetting climax, Six Feet Under is the ultimate emotional rollercoaster.Six Feet Under is a moving portrayal of tragedy, love and and everything inbetween - This season (5th) be the last so get as much into your brain as you can!BUY THIS DVD NOW!

Shame that this show is Six Feet Under
After Lost, this is my all-time favourite American Drama. Brilliant cast, brilliant story lines and fabulous black comedy. Michael C Hall steals the show as David Fisher (I haven't been able to watch Dexter since, as I can't bear to see him as anyone else)! Each character has deep issues, beautifully explored in this Drama based around the Fisher family who run a funeral home. I have watched every episode of every season and would happily watch them again. A great buy.

as good as before !
Still thoroughly enjoying this series and have already got No 4 waiting! Such original storylines and I was pleased to see that all the usual misfit were still on top form. The characters have developed really well.

Unbeatable TV drama
Top quality scriptwriting and second-to-none acting lie at the core of what, for me, is quite simply the best TV drama I have ever seen in my life. Every episode is awash with the many intriguing relationships that characterise the Fisher family internally, and their relationships with others around them. Unbeatable watching.
