500 Mixed Colors Sweet William Dianthus Barbatus Flower Seeds

As I said in my previous review of the Sweet William seeds, we had many, many days of rain, heavy rain, and the poor little things just rained away. I had them in trays outside in the sunlight and they were tiny, tiny little plants when the rains started. I ran back and forth with trays constantly and even brought some inside from our patio (no roof of course)and I put a whole lot of trays under our balcony which wasn't too brilliant a move since the MONSOON came through the balcony floor of course. I hated that I had to give up on these baby plants, I love to see them grow. But that was the saga of Sweet William. I gave a 4 star rating because I believe they would have been gorgeous!

I can't say about the colors or how well the mix was made. I plant in the fall so they will bloom the next season. These are biennial flowers, bloom the second season. I had an excellent germination rate and look forward to next summer to see what the colors look like. Once Sweet Williams are established they typically will re-seed themselves. Enjoy!

I only can imagine what my grandmother Lyyli would say if she could see those sweet williams! She would love them! She wasn't very rich and could have only a few different kind of flowers in her garden but it was so very beautiful. I have in my own garden her old light lilac violet which is my treasure!
