Dr. Spock's Baby and Child Care, 10th edition

This book helped me understand what the heck was happening and going to happen when expecting. Now it's helping my kids with same -- and that goes much better than listening to parents....

Someone gave this book to me when I was pregnant with our first child. I still have it. I like to order this book for new parents in hopes that they will treasure and follow the information that is in the book to their best ability. The price is very affordable.

This book was my ABC Bible for a new mom

I'm in my 70's. When I had my first baby in 1972, Dr. Spock was who I turned to. He wasn't everyone's "cup of tea", but I thought he had very helpful, down-to-earth information for a young mother who hadn't been around babies that much. I bought this 10th edition because I'm going to be taking care of our newest grandchild, and I wanted to refresh my memory about basic childcare. (It's amazing how much you can forget!) Dr. Spock is gone now, but the man who wrote this updated version seems to have a lot of the same opinions as Dr. Spock did.

Things happen. My son was on the receiving end of being a new single father. He didn't have any idea what to do. So i bought him this book. He got alot from it and read the entire book several times over. Even after the baby was born, he went back through certain chapters. All parents having their first child should read this book.

I read and used this book when my first born was born. I bot it for my granddaughter who just delivered a 9lb.12 oz baby girl. Dr. Spock has everything you will need to know. Only one thing was wrong that I did. When potty training my son- I praised him for his accomplishment as Dr. Spock suggested. At three years of age - he had a friend playing with him and he said to the friend. Come see my mother (I was sitting on the toilet.)

This book is not meant for those who are interested in the field for general curiosity, or for understanding the science. This is a practical book by a medical doctor that gives a lot of practical information that supposes to help. Some of the claims in the book - I found to be controvercial in recent science, but all in all, it is still very useful for accompanying parents.

The book explains both physiology and psychology in depth. Enables one to navigate and understand the physical phenomenon of pregnancy as well as the psychology of it. It gives the child's perspective on the World at different stages of growth.

One of the best recommended books on how to raise a kid. Some said it teaches the kids to become a high performance individual and not to become a snowflake. enjoy!!!

Tendría suerte terminar este libro sin que se disuelva en las manos. Las páginas son tan finas que se puede leer las palabras de la próxima página. De lo más baja calidad que hay. No vale la mitad del precio. Lo doy 2 estrellas en vez de una porque creo que el contenido sí está bien. Es solo la construcción del libro que es el problema.
