BLACK+DECKER Over the Range Microwave Oven, 1.7 Cu.Ft, 1000W

This microwave is easy to use, heats food quickly, and has a sleek design that looks great on the countertop. The controls are simple, the size is perfect for everyday meals, and it works exactly as expected. It’s reliable, quiet, and offers great value for the price. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

It’s a nice microwave. Easy to use. Functional. Smaller size. Color is good. We got this as a back up microwave when our main ones break, until we get another big one. Usually you have to wait a few days when you order stuff. And that’s not an option to wait. So we got this one. We ended up using it several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner to heat up food and water. So I feel we got our money’s worth already. It works! But we just want bigger microwaves in our house to use on a regular basis everyday. Something 1000 watts or more. We got 1200 watts this time and we’re trying a combination microwave/oven/air fryer. And it’s really good for us. Recommend!

It took us a while to figure out that it is programmed for turn off after 3 seconds but other than that it is good microwave.

We’re very happy with this microwave. It looks clean and modern, has plenty of space inside, and is easy to use. I also really like having the vent fan and light underneath. It works great and looks beautiful in our kitchen.

This is a decent microwave. We had to get used to pressing the required "unlock" button, but it did not take long to make it habit forming. Sometimes we forget and push the door-open button which is bad because it wears\tears on the mechanism. However, every modern microwave has this child safety lock mechanism and we just have to adapt before we break it. We use it several times per day.

Price was great, easy to install, exhaust fan works great

Purchased 11/14/25 and on 2/7/26, not even 3 months later, it overheated itself and died 30 seconds into a mundane task of heating a frozen burrito. Became a complete brick afterwards—it must’ve fried something internally. This was bad enough, but the customer service in trying to rectify this has been a nightmare. 1) contacted Amazon first. As the item was just passed its return window, I needed to contact black and decker by emailing Spectrum brands. 2) Cool. I emailed the link provided. 3) A week later, they reply asking me to follow a link to an online form where I am to provide details about the malfunctions product. I fill it out, noting the specific model # wasn’t a selection in the drop down menu on that form. 4) A few days later, they reply that specific model isn’t one they cover and I need to call Black and Decker directly via the phone number provided. 5) I call the number and navigate the phone tree to get to the appropriate division (customer service for kitchen appliances). 6) The person I spoke to took my information and ultimately informed me that this is not a product they, Spectrum Services, cover, and that I need to call Black and Decker directly. 7) Me: …you mean THIS number I’m already calling? I received an email from Spectrum Services that said exactly what you did—call the company directly—and gave me this number. 8) Them: “You were told to call Black and Devker directly and they gave you this number?!” “Yes.” “I’m sorry, it shouldn’t have. You need to go to the Black and Decker website…” me: “No.” Okay, a bit curt, but I was beyond over this. 9) I tried calling the provided number again and this time chose a different phone tree option that got me to a live person. They were finally able help with my case. (Midia support is their name, BTW). They emailed me instructions that included requests for photos of receipt/proof of purchase (including model #, date, total sale, photo of serial number) and a video demonstrating it doesn’t work. I just finished sending all that info over to them, so we shall see. I was told initially that after I sent them the info, they would review it (takes a few weeks) and if approved, will send me a check in another month or two. A long drawn out—and flawed—process that pretty clearly seems focused on getting the customer to give up and cease trying to recover their money. Keep this in mind when buying a cheap appliance on Amazon, even when it’s a name brand. I recommend buying in person at Best Buy or similar if at all possible. Caveat emptor.

Perfect gift, colour so good, heating is excellent, perfect size

Good quality and works well. Good medium size microwave. The design is nice and the features are very easy to use.

Great size for smaller spaces. Works perfect, heats fast and is so much quieter then our previous microwave. You can barely hear it when it’s running.

I got this microwave in june2021 and today just 10 min ago jan 11th 2022 it blew. It sparked and caused a fireball. The metal panel on the right side Inside blew up and popped.
