Sturdy but padding is not removable
Really sturdy, definitely follow the washing instructions, son let his cousin borrow and they washed it in the washer and ruined the padding. I would definitely go with one where you can remove the padding. Fit to size

XL fits 6'1" 225lbs, waist 38. Padding a little thin, but could be closed cell foam which doesn't compress all the way flat for better protection. Not looking forward to finding out the hard way whether it works or not. LOL

We’re baught for my son who is a soccer keeper. Fit was great and work perfect in adding some padding for his hips and thighs when diving.
