SUPERIOR DEVICE!!! THIS Carbon Monoxide Alarm Detector IS A SUPER SUPER WINNER!!!
AMAZING!!! SUPER ACCURATE AND INSTANT (almost) READINGS. This unit is very very accurate and alerted me to a furnace problem THAT MY EXISTING CO ALARMS DID NOT PICK UP. I bought this unit because of the Digital Readout (which is really cool!!) to see if it was real and accurate or not. I wanted to test a really old wall furnace in my man cave/office. 0 (zero) reading in the man cave, brought this new detector into the main house in the morning and instantly got a reading of 30 ppm which is not good. The next day the main house 25 yr old gas forced air furnace just happened to quit working, and I called my regular furnace professional that services my house and my rental properties. Amazingly enough he was able to come out within an hour or two and did the diagnostic on the 25 yr old main house furnace the malfunction was in a computer board for which he had the replacement on his service van. I asked him to use his professional high end CO detector in my house and he got a higher than good reading Which my existing wall mounted CO detectors never gave a reading/warning about! This NEW AGE detector showed mildly elevated levels of CO when the "regular big box store everyday name brands" did not register even a minor problem. I REALLY LIKE THE DIGITAL CO PPM BEING VISIBLE. It drops to 0 within 10 seconds when taken into fresh air, and registers higher levels within moments!! More purchases coming of this unit for my rentals! While the existing old brand name units probably work if LETHAL amounts of CO are present, my brain needs all the help it can get, so elevated levels of CO are not good for mental cognition. Cheers David

Great size
Small, easy to install. Smaller than I thought it would be actually. I bought multiple ones for in the house. I like that it’s battery operated so it can go anywhere. My old ones had to be plugged in and they would fall out or I’d have to remove them to use the outlet for the vacuum. I like battery operated so much better. Comes with batteries, screws and wall anchor. I didn’t use the anchors and it’s fine.

Nice size, flashing red light not so nice
Love the size and the nice white color. Don't love the flashing red light that happens about twice a minute. Haven't installed it yet to see how annoying the flash is in the hallway outside our sleeping area, but there is NO WAY I would put this in a bedroom. I didn't see anything in the specs or reviews about the light. This would be a nice size for travel, but again--the flashing red light...in a hotel room...I think not.

It Works...
...and may be a life saver. I decided to purchase this after having a carbon monoxide scare while staying in a hotel. In order to test this unit, I placed it at the mouth of a bucket, and then placed the bucket near the exhaust pipe on my automobile. I used the bucket to ensure I captured the CO2, since it was windy outside. The beeping alarm went off, followed by the voice notification. And it was pretty loud. I tested it about three times and had the same result each time. Folks, this carbon monoxide problem is no joke. It can kill!

Flashes brightly every 20 seconds - annoying
I am sure the alarm is awesome, and I hope it is never needed. But, the light flashes brightly every 20s (not 30s like the instructions say). It is therefore no good for bedrooms. Way way too bright and too often. Once a minute, or every 3minutes or 5minutes with a much lower-intensity LED would be fine. As it is the batteries are being run down by this all-night disco. That is 2,400 flashes in an 8h sleep. Or 7,200 flashes per day in any 24h period! Goodbye batteries.

Works at about 500
I put this and the X-Sense under the car exhaust. The alarm on this one - strong beep + voice - came on in a few minutes at around 500 PPM. X-Sense did not work at all, even after 15 minutes under the exhaust.

Everyone needs one for Home safety
We added it to our house alone with smoke detectors. It was easy to install and came with a battery and install kit with easy to read instructions
