Q: Is this charger fully automatic? Plug it in/hook it up and it does the rest? Or do you have to push buttons to select battery type/size/charge rate?

This is NOT a charger that I would recommend to bring back a dead battery as it is, in reality, a trickle charger. it will charge slowly and maintain a charge for you automatically. It is specifically for 12V batteries.

Q: Will this unit charge 2 12V batteries in the same amount of time it would take using 2 separate 12V Battery Tenders?

I beleve it will. I keep two batteries as backup for my toy hauler. After using them I hook them up and by the nexk day they are charged. I love them. I have two and a couple of singles.

Q: How long are the cables that connect to the batteries? I have a small sports car with a battery in the back and in the front of the car. Do I need extension cables?

Each cable is approx 6 1/2 ft long which will give you a width of 13 feet. Hope this helps.

Q: Does it come with quick connect ends as well as the alligator clip ends?

yes, read the description of the model you want and it will tell you what is included...i bought extra quick connects and extensions for 6 different vehicles.. great product
