Have not had a chance to use it yet but it seems very sturdy and has a good weight to it. This rescue 8 quite large and gives you the ability to add lots of friction.

I'm a retired EMT getting back into rappelling and climbing, so far I have purchased a couple of pieces of my equipment from GM Climbing and have been impressed with the quality of the gear. Everything is well made and sturdy, and the price can't be beat.

Use this descender to climb the second floor roof to do house work, I feel much safer knowing I won't fall down and hurt myself.
