I LOVE THIS THING! Conveniently utilized with the onboard Automation. "Flash Cool" is my jam! 💪🏼😎
I am VERY pleased with this air unit. I was a bit skeptical of the Brand as I had never heard of it before. Do not be fooled. This thing is a beast for the price of admission.. I'm a large man. I stay hot. My personal "Sleep" scene is 66°, Flashcool on, and even the louvers oscillate up and down to help disperse and distribute the air more efficiently. Speaking of efficiency, This thing has a regular ECO mode and an iEco mode. If sound is an issue for you, this unit can be setup to be just that, whisper quiet. Not just the fans but the compressor itself. I don't mind a little extra noise for the added comfort of a cool pillow and cold bedroom. This unit is a dual inverter design. Think of it as a two stage compressor. I don't want to get very technical but there are so many options and configurations to help you find and stay at your most comfortable and desirable room temperature. And once you find it, you can even store it as a scene or favorite setting inside the included mobile app. I came from Samsung and LG small units. I thought they performed and offered well enough. After having this, I have ZERO regrets that I took a chance on Midea. It does a fantastic job and I pray this thing lasts forever.. 😁 If you're on the fence about this unit, hop on over. It's cool over here! 💪🏼😎 ❄️ 🌨️ 🥶- I included a picture of the "LED lights" in our dark bedroom. You can even disable the LEDs AND the audible beeps when pushing buttons or making changes. I'm very impressed. I'm very satisfied. May God bless You ALL!

Powerful cooling, reasonable sound level (14000 BTU)
14000 BTU. Nice, cold air. Powerful air flow, felt it across the room on medium fan speed. Quieter than old-style ACs. It’s fairly quiet on the lowest fan speed - I’m noise sensitive. Although it’s quiet, I’ve had quieter inverter AC’s…but they didn’t cool anywhere as well as this Midea. On medium-to-high fan speeds, I do turn the tv volume up quite a bit. Thankfully, it’s a smooth, even, whooshing noise. All you hear is air — no rattling, rumbling, or whining. 👍 Powerful cooling = It is BY FAR the best at cooling a room quickly (compared to off-brand inverter ACs I’ve had in the past). 14000 BTU is rated to cool up to 700 sq ft. I found that to be accurate in real life. 👍Super pleased, since AC’s I’ve had in the past didn’t live up to their square footage claims. Midea does. It comes with 2 rolls of foam weatherstrip, which I appreciated. Personally, I like to buy extra foam in different sizes for an extra-perfect seal. I also bought some Plasticene modeling clay — it’s like play-doh — great for sealing hairline gaps around the side extender pieces. Like every AC, this unit needed it. You can mold it to any shape with your fingers to fill tiny gaps. Build quality seems great. Install was easy for 1 female. 2 people is better if you can. Installation = Lookup this YouTube video for a step by step: “The Fixer2 How to Install Midea Window Air Conditioner | Model MAW05R1WWT-T AC Real-Time Installation” 10/10. Highly recommend.

Works great with smart home setup and low power draw
So far, I've been quite pleased with this unit. Alexa and the app respond rapidly, and integrating with Home Assistant was simple. It has good cooling capabilities for its size, and the inverter design keeps the power draw low enough to operate on a small generator or inverter with ease. Additionally, it's notably quieter than many of the conventional window units I've owned. Overall, a fantastic balance between energy efficiency and contemporary features, particularly when operating off the grid or in a backup power configuration.

Not so quiet; didn't install as shown with shell first, unit after.
Having purchased two U-shaped Midea airconditioners and a dehumidifier, I entered this purchase very happy with the products. The U-shaped ACs are very quiet and seemingly efficient. I love that you can turn off the LED panel lights and beeps. I bought this unit because it was Midea, because it was 14,000 BTUs, and the largest I could find using a 110v outlet. But perhaps the biggest reasons were because it was advertised to be quiet (Midea style?) and it installed by taking the unit out of it's shell in order to install the shell and then later slide in the unit. But, alas, this is simply your father's AC. It's pretty standard as far as noise and controls. At least I can turn it on with the app and change settings there. But the biggest issue was that it installed like your father's AC. It did NOT have the advertised method of installing the shell first! Booo! I contacted Amazon and they refunded enough money for me to by one of those brackets to hold the AC as you slide it out the window.

Performs as expected!
This unit works as it’s supposed to. When on the eco setting the unit kicks off when temp is reached and just the fan will run on and off until the cooling unit needs to kick back on. Great feature! My old unit would kick off but just sit until it needed to cool again but sometimes it got too warm before it would kick back on. The fan cycling prevents this. Also the negative reviews are mostly because the unit will not run on 120 standard electric. Common sense should tell you a unit this large will need the higher voltage hook up. I plugged it in and it immediately began cooling. Almost wish my old unit had died sooner. Lol it’s also not extremely loud and we have mainly kept the fan on low. Definitely recommend!

Rated #1 by Consumer Reports
I live in Kansas where summer temps often exceed 100°. When my central air died just before an impending heat wave I went into panic mode. I immediately referred to Consumer Reports for their test results and recommendations. I learned that Midea Air Conditioners were the highest rated of them all. I ordered both a 1200 and the 1400 BTU models in stead of replacing the central air. I could not be more pleased with the results. Thanks to Consumer Reports and Midea the house was very comfortable throughout a record hot summer. I can definitely see why Midea earned the highest rating with Consumer Reports. They are quiet, powerful, economic and easy to install. Like Consumer Reports I give Midea AC my highest rating.
