Get One
These are wonderful for sash windows and keep all the insects out. Australia is full of them and I'm grateful to be able to get them in the UK. This one is slightly flimsy but still does the job.

very expensive!
Very cheap build quality, extremely over priced for what you get. Screen is very very light so do not allow any pressure or weight against it, it will simply tear out of the frame.

Perfect for summer
We needed these to keep our cats inside and the flies outside. It does just that! They are cheaply made - therefore overpriced - but we will get a lot of use out of them.

It works!
Just received it in one day, great service as always Amazon Prime. These are a bit more expensive than the other telescopic sash window fly screens I got from newblinds.co.uk. Those sucked as they warped and out of the 4 I received 2 of them jammed. Enough about them, back to these fly screens. These are rigid and basically open up easily and do the job. Drop the sash window on it to give it tension and there you go...a simple fly screen. Not rocket science but apparently, you CAN go wrong with a fly screen as I have experienced. I'd be inclined to order more. All the windows in this house are different widths so PLEASE measure before you order one. My office window is actually quite narrow and this one fit perfectly. A bit more expensive but if it works I'm inclined to pay for it. This will get knocked over if there's a toddler or cat around so beware.

Every sash window should have one!
I have two indoor kittens who really appreciate these screens, they love sitting and watching the world go by, and with the recent hot weather they've been able to enjoy what cool breeze there is. I'm quite happy with them too, as I'm entomophobic, so being able to let in air while resticting the number of buzzy/flappy things has been wonderful. Just wish these where easily available in various sizes in the UK!Edit: So, it’s five years on and these screens are still going strong, only a couple of small catches in the mesh (Cats! what can you do?) a really great buy!
