What are the active ingredients in this product?

I went through a whole container of API General Cure (Expensive -- $79) and, unfortunately, it didn't work. Having gone thru the entire container before your questions was posted, the container has been thrown away so I don't have the ingredient info you're looking for. I have two outdoor large koi ponds and two koi, several comets, and miscellaneous small fish developed anchor worms. API General Cure (it's a powder) was NOT effective. What WAS effective, though, was PROFORM-LA (it's a liquid). $36 for a quart. The bottle says it contains an aqueous solution of N-cyclopropyl-1, 4, 6-triamine (cyromazine). It also has the "made in USA" flag on the bottle, too. I only had to do three doses and the fish are MUCH MUCH better. Hope this helps.

Will this kill the beneficial bacteria in the tank?

The product does contain 3 grams malachite green which does have a negative impact on good bacteria. Invest in a bottle of Prime and some API liquid testers to monitor the parameters if you feel concerned. I have used this product for many years and have had only success. My Black Belt Cichlid is about 14 yrs. old and gets hole in the head frequently. If it was not for the API General Cure she would not be here still today. She is currently sick but unfortunately I have no money and pray that she will be the strong fish I know she is and fight it off until I can get more API General Cure in 2 weeks.

This is for my fish with an anchor worm but is this safe for Nerite snails in the tank?

No this will kill all inverts take snails out treat for 7 days change 1/2 the water put fresh carbon in filter wait 2 more days then it should be safe to put snails back in just put one in for a day and see if it acts normal before the rest go back in.
