Living Life Beautifully

This book defines, from front to back, exactly what I have been trying to do for years. Light airy filled rooms that are quiet. I feel Christina Strutt is on the front edge of style defining what is possible for everyone to do, on their own, without high dollar designers.Not the "stuffy" old fashion English style. but a balanced look, with flea market finds and the use of white, color, checks, stripes and light florals. She says in her book "I create what I love" and that is clear. Maybe not for everyone, but just right for me. Have purchased all of her past books since receiving this book. Also, she has other thought provoking people featured in the book.

I've been trying to get this book from area libraries for a long time - ever since it first was published. I can see why there are so many holds on it - it is absolutely beautiful and well worth the price. Lovely photographs (with information captions), good prose, and a wonderful surprise at the back of the book - several beautiful postcards with the lovely Cabbages and Roses flower motif on them. This book is a real keeper for those who love the beauty of age and faded elegance. Truly a beautiful book!

I bought one and loved it. Bought another! Then noticed the cloth outer covering was split. I only had it for a week or two! I barely used it. I sent it back to Amazon, was refunded, and ordered another. Trying it one more time.Would give five stars but since one was defected only a three.

I really enjoyed this book from the beautiful photographs to the individual stories of all associated with Cabbages& Roses. I would highly recommend it for anyone that dreams of starting their own business or just wants tosip a cup of tea and escape to cozy cottages and chic city dwellings.

This book is nice, not great but nice.The pages of pictures are ordinary not extraordinary...there wasn't anything that I hadn't seen before.But still a nice book to have lying around.

I just didnt want this book to ever get to the last page! The images and the stories inside are absolutely gorgeous. I loved this book so much, so if you are into white, shabby chic, beautiful arrangements, design, you are truly in for a treat. Filled with ideas and beautiful photography, page after page.

I liked it. I think they used the same props in several pictures, but it's a very nice book. Lots of pictures and ideas.

I can't stop admiring my new book....have NOT been inspired like this for years (well maybe months)...absolutely down my alley...gorgeous...inviting...entertaining....just perfect to cosy up on the couch and reading it! Perfect for a lazy Sunday Morning, or any other lazy day, evening....can you tell...I love it?

Beautifully written with beautiful photography - a very interesting read. Cabbages & Roses is an extraordinary brand and this book sums up the gentle and generous lifestyle they promote and their fashion mirrors their interiors in its integrity and beauty. Highly recommended

Beautiful images but little substance

I like these books to cosy up with, but not given choice to what i would like to do using the same ideas. maybe one day i may get my own way.

Love anything Cabbages & Roses , and this won't disappoint . Just great for inspiration and for ideas if you love this look .

This book has beautiful photographs and gives the reader some ideas of how you can decorate and furnish your own house. I always love to see inside interesting and unusual houses and this book does exactly that. It certainly is living life beautifully.
