Is Hickman the savior of modern day comics?
Jonathan Hickman came on the comics scene with his first hit, "The Nightly News." With that books success and the other work he did at Image comics with multiple miniseries, Marvel took notice and put him on some smaller Marvel books, like Secret Warriors. After that, Marvel moved him to one of their tentpole books, Marvels first family, The Fantastic Four. Hickman took over the book and immediately made it his own. The family all had a distinct voice of their own, while still feeling fresh. Hickman starts his run on the FF in a contemporary setting during the "Dark Rein" period, following secret invasion. It doesn't do too much to set up the future of what's to come with his run on the book, but we do get revelations about Reed and Sues son, Franklin. Franklin Richards is beginning to use his mutant powers once again, and displays a small fraction of what's to come with is abilities, which goes far and wide in Hickmans Fantastic Four and FF series. After the Dark Rein mini, he hops onto the series proper. With this move he takes full control, and starts seeding little bits and pieces that will become important, not only for the Fantastic Four, but also his run on Avengers and New Avengers. The story is told in seemingly one shots, or one and done's, but establishes all you will need to know going forward, wether you are new to the book, or a returning reader. The Fantastic Four sold very well, and continued Marvels faith in Hickman to breathe life into a book, and boost sales. This Fantastic Four run has also influenced pop culture. You may have seen Rick and Morty, and if you have you will see plenty of sci fi concepts appear here, that you may have never realized were popularized with the FF. There are also other TV shows and movies, as well as other comics that have either riffed Hickmans style, concepts, or story beats. All in all, I cannot recommend this book more. Hickman is a genius, and to this day with his revival of the X-Men, comics are looking better than they have in years. House of X and Powers of X is the first time I, personally, have ever cared, or been able to follow the X-Men.5/5

Fantastic Four at Fantastic Price!
Hickman's entire Fantastic Four run was amazing. I was able to read the entire thing in digital format years ago and have been wanting to get hard copies. Unfortunately, buying every single individual volume is expensive and the 1st half of the run's omnibus is even more expensive (limited printing I guess). This "Complete Collection" is exactly what I've been looking for, collecting Hickman's run into an accessible and low footprint format. I get all of the best content at a fraction of the price. Looking forward to the subsequent volumes being released. The paper used is very thin and delicate. So far I haven't had any issues with tearing or wrinkling, but if you aren't careful I could foresee it being a problem. The thin paper does allow it to have a smaller profile overall, which I appreciate.

One of the better Fantastic Four runs.
This is a great book that is hard to put down despite its large size. Fantastic 4 has had more than a few good runs but this one is well above average. Writing is very solid here and the pacing is excellent. All four main characters have memorable moments and top notch dialogue. Art runs from good to fantastic and rarely disappoints. However, if you are completely new to the Fantastic Four this is not the best place to start.I would recommend reading the wiki on the main cast of characters before you read this. This book jumps right into the action and assumes you are familiar with its characters. If you know about the Fantastic Four family already, then please do give this volume a shot.

Thank god someone convinced me to read a story (Hickman's F4) that made me love comics again.
Galactus was right. I picked up this book after a 7 year hiatus from them, and I loved comics again in a way I forgot that I ever had. This is the best Marvel story arc I've ever read, and it's up there with a few select DC classics, if sci-fi epics about multiple realities is something you enjoy. The Rick & Morty owe a lot of key material (Council of Ricks, etc etc). I'm so glad Marvel is releasing this all-time classic epic in a format that doesn't require multiple online "reading guides" to know which vol of which title comes next.

Interesting read for a fantastic four newbie
The stories don't come off as sequential so I always felt confused and left with questions. But the book did succeed in making me like the fantastic four. The adventures they go on are so interesting and fun and the fact that it's their smarts that help them out of jams more than their powers is refreshing for a superhero comic.
