apparently previous homeowner hired a handyman who bypassed the original. lovely, it wasn't caught on inspection. our furnace guy came and reported it to us as he was fixing something else, and just told me to buy one and install. worked well, system is now protected.

3 Red Flash issue solved
Old Rollout Switch was faulty SWT 2124 on 12 year old Trane XR90 furnace. Product came in a timely manner and I installed it immediately.The old one did not register continuity on OHM Meter. The reason I inspected this switch was after getting the dreaded 3 red flashes indicating pressure switch issue. After days if working (trial & elimination) the diagnosis was Inducer fan was failing. So replaced Fasco A196, in addition to this switch and replaced Pressure Switch too. (Probably did not need replacing as PS rarely go bad).Bottom line product works well and the price was about 10 bucks cheaper than I could source locally.
